WWE: How many years have you been refereeing?
Fourteen

WWE: What's your most memorable moment?
Refereeing a main event match with Hulk Hogan and "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, which is my hometown. The other highlight would have to be refereeing the Six-Pack Challenge match at Unforgiven 1999. Except for me, all the referees were on strike, so they dragged me out of the ring to let me konw that they weren't to happy about my crossing the picket line.

WWE: Is there any residual heat from your colleagues for crossing the picket line?
I think that the situation has pretty much been smoothed over. Every once in a while I do get a comment from Timmy White, but that's just Timmy being himself.

WWE: What's your most terrifying moment?
I was once chokeslammed by Kane. Then, to add insult to injury, he dragged me on top of the Brood, poured gasoline all over us and attempted to set us on fire. Luckily, we got away.

WWE: What do you like most about being a referee?
This job may seem thankless at times, but I just love doing it. Once I started doing it, I fell in love with it. It's just the best job in the world.

WWE: How do you feel about getting booed all the time?
It's par for the course. Every time you make a mistake, everyone notices. We're human and do make mistakes, but I can take it. It doesn't bother me.

WWE: Are you ever intimidated by the Superstars? And if so, does that affect the way you call a match?
I stick to the calls I make. It doesn't mean that the Superstars aren't intimidating, but I've got a job to do. Hopefully, I won't have to pay a price for making those calls.

WWE: How do you feel about Instant Replay?
I think instant replay would take some of the spontaneity out of the matches. Just like in the NFL, there would be problems with it. I think they should just let the match play out and not worry about replay.

WWE: How do you feel about Nick Patrick's refereeing style?
Normally, I don't like to rank on my fellow referees, but in this case, I must say that he doesn't call it down the middle at times. This shouldn't happen in our profession.

WWE: How well do you think that the younger referees such as Chad Patton and Brian Hebner are coping with the pressure of being WWF referees?
I think they're doing a fine job. Even guys like me who have been in the business a long time are still learning, so we can all learn from each other. The younger guys are really doing an excellent job. I try to help them when they ask for advice. Hopefully, what I tell them does them some good.
