They were the most glamorous tag team ever.

And now “The boys from New York City” are back in the Tri-State area after a 25 plus year absence.

Legendary “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant — the Boogie Woogie Man — rejoins his wrestling brothers, “Luscious” Johnny Valiant, “Gentleman” Jerry Valiant and Lou Albano for a historic reunion. Having sold out Madison Square Garden four times in a one year period during their 14 month run as tag champs, “Luscious Johnny” and “Handsome” Jimmy are both WWE Hall of Famers. For Jimmy it is an exceedingly rare East Coast autograph appearance. Joined by “Gentleman Jerry” who held the WWWF tag championship with Johnny in 1979, it is Jerry’s first time ever signing. And joined by their “Manager of Champions,” Captain Lou Albano, it’s sure to be a colorful day’s entertainment.

Lanny “The Genius” Poffo will regale the Valiants with his poetry and host the legends Q&A that afternoon.

And in a special attraction the Dream Team of Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine reunite with their manager Johnny V for their first area appearance in nearly two decades.

Legendary Nikolai Volkoff (with manager Nikita Breznikov) and referee Dick Woerlhe will be joined by top area indie stars including lovely lady wrestlers.

Promoted by In Person Entertainment’s Adam Handelman and Richard Flaum, Timothy A Beal and Wrestling- Then & Now, organizers guarantee an intimate yet memorable fan-friendly event as the Valiants and Lou Albano are among the greatest talkers in the history of the business. Highlights will include:

THE LEGENDS TALK ABOUT APPEARING AT THE VALIANT BROTHERS REUNION

I'm thrilled that In Person Entertainment, Wrestling Then & Now & Tim Beal have put together the Valiant Brothers Reunion Convention on Saturday May 14, 2005. I'm honored to appear once again with my brothers Luscious Johnny and Gentleman Jerry along with our former manager Captain Lou Albano. I'm also excited about seeing old friends Lanny Poffo, Beefcake, Valentine, Volkoff and referee Dick Woerlhe. Some of the boys I haven't seen in over 25 years. This Valiant Brothers Reunion in 2005 would not have been possible if not for the faithful wrestling fans. I want to greet and thank each and every one of you in person for your dedication. Thanks. Hope to see you there. Love you all.--Handsome Jimmy Valiant

I’m looking forward to the event. I haven’t seen Jerry Valiant in years. I think this is the kind of event we could take around the country as everyone on the show worked all the old territories.--Luscious Johnny Valiant

Some of the greatest minds in wrestling and some of the biggest names in wrestling that helped build the WWF will be at this convention.--Greg “The Hammer” Valentine

I'm excited about the Valiant event because they changed wrestling and became the most imitated team in the world. I'll do what I can to give this the respect it deserves.--Lanny “The Genius” Poffo (Hosting the legends Q&A)

It will be good to see Lou Albano again and Dick Woerle. I can't remember the last time I saw Dick. The Valiants (Jimmy & Johnny) were really good; they are both good friends.--Nikolai Volkoff

The last time that I saw all 3 Valiants together was in 1979 as a fan. What memories they gave us. I think the greatest series— now I'm talking tag team series— not just match was at MSG with The Valiants (Jimmy & Johnny) vs. Bruno & Chief Jay Strongbow. The Valiants certainly raised the bar for future teams to follow.

Hey these guys main-evented everywhere for a year against everybody. Talk about heat, man. They had it. And then throw in Lou; too much!

Remember Lou beating Jimmy Valiant at MSG after their split in 1979? 11-19-79. Nobody saw that coming. And Lou giving Vince McMahon his first bump at the conclusion of that manager of the year contest in 1977 on 11-8-77.

And the matches that Dick Woerhle ref'd. Anybody with a sense of wrestling history has to come out to see these guys and reminisce.--Nikita Breznikov (Manager Nikolai Volkoff)
