Determined to not let the accident crush his spirit, he set out to make a new life for himself. Not long afterwards, Angel discovered the Catholic faith and devoted his life to spreading good throughout the world. For months, Angel worked tirelessly and selflessly towards the aid of others, earning his nickname of Angel since he could not recall his true name at the time. When Angel came across a flyer that SIW was reopening it's doors and looking for fresh new talent, he took it as a "message from God" as his golden opportunity to travel the world and spread the message of good in His name.

Angel has gone on to become one of the brightest superstars in the history of SIW, winning the SIW Championship in just his first two months in SIW. At Unhallowed Desires 2004, Angel suffered a brutal attack with a sledgehammer by the hands of arch-nemesis Matt Uzi that took him out of wrestling and threatened his life. Angel endured a second strike to to head, causing further brain damage and again wiping his memory.

In what fans and wrestling experts alike call nothing short of a miracle, Angel returned to SIW at Meltdown 2005. Angel was once again reunited with Jessie shortly afterwards, and the two worked together to regain some of his memory, although its believed that Angel will never regain full use. Wrestlefest 2005, one month later, Angel became #1 contender for the SIW Championship. Rampage 2005, Angel's amazing comeback was complete when he regained the SIW Championship for a second time. His trademark moves, the Salvation Splash, Judgment Sharpshooter and the Atonement Spear continues to influence the new SIW stars of today. Besides the SIW Championship, Angel has won the World Tag Team Championship three times, SIW Hardcore Championship twice, EBW Championship, SIW Extreme Championship and is one of the few elite to win both the Heavyweight title and SIW Championship. Angel is arguably one of the greatest fan favorites to ever enter the ring.
