New Orleans Arena
Capacity: 18 500/18 500
New Orleans, Louisiana
Rating: 9.0

Greg Banks from Brawl and Christina York from Carnage welcomed everyone to SIW Assault 2005 and got the New Orleans crowd cheering when they mentioned that a former SIW World champion was in the building and promised to make his presence felt on PPV. As they went through the card, they were interrupted by the SIW World champion Matt Uzi accompanied by his bodyguard and Brawl General Manager Titan. Uzi promoted his new movie Blackout 2 and guaranteed victory. Matt said that after he won, Enigma would never get another title shot as long as he was champion. Uzi and Titan gave Banks a wedgie and then took Christina’s mic and called out Enigma. The A.O.D came out on the ramp but security officials kept things under control and the first match got underway.

The SIW Women’s championship was on the line in a Diva Rumble. The order of elimination went as follows:

1. Anck Su Namun eliminated by Angelica Hunt and Olivia Danger (Anck suffered a broken ankle)
2. Katie Mysfit eliminated by Latesha (Katie suffered a concussion)
3. Liana Lewis eliminated by H-Bomb
4. Regina Todd eliminated by Angelica Hunt
5. Olivia Danger eliminated by Latesha
6. H-Bomb eliminated by Angelica and Latesha
7. Angelica Hunt eliminated Latesha

Angelica and Latesha were the last two in the ring after they both eliminated H-Bomb. Latesha hit Angelica with a closeline and then tried to eliminated her but Angelica punched her in the nose and then delivered the A-Bomb Drop. Angelica retained her championship against seven other divas after she threw Latesha over the top rope.

Before his next match, the SIW Hardcore champion Grunge was interviewed by Christina York accompanied by Chastity who wore a neck brace. Grunge vowed revenge for all the things that’s been happening to him and Chastity all month and then out of nowhere Drako attacked him from behind and nailed him with an Implant DDT. The match got underway in the backstage area. Moments later, Grunge opened a door in one of the halls and laid out a bunch of linear lights on the ground and then delivered a suplex to Drako onto the lights cutting him up. Grunge then sent Drako crashing into a metal crate head first but that wasn’t enough to get the win. The bloody match came to an end when Drako delivered the Last In Line on the entrance ramp to pin Grunge for the SIW Hardcore championship. Both men refused to be taken out on a stretcher.

After a video promo for SIW Meltdown in February, the SIW North American Champion “Primetime” Ryan Johnson stepped out of his personal limo and was seen on his cell phone talking to some unknown person. He or she assured Ryan that they would be at the arena in about half an hour. Primetime then proceeded to Rated X’s locker room to meet up with Bernardo, Tommy D, Uzi, Ringo and Rico.

The SIW Tag Team championship was on the line in the next match with the champs Bad Breed, Phillip Arceneaux and Brandon Clayborne taking on Slick Willy Seaman and “The Disco Duck” Jimmy Cefalo who both sported C-4 tank tops. Slick almost got a quick win with an inside cradle but Phillip kicked out and delivered a pumphandle breakbreaker. Both teams gave it their all for twenty five minutes and Disco almost got the upset win after he hit Brandon with The Disco Ball of DOOM but out of nowhere, Brandon found the courage to kick out. The match ended when Brandon finally tagged in Phillip and Arceneaux delivered a running enzuguri to Slick and then Brandon followed the attack by executing the Bad Business. Arceneaux pinned Slick as Bad Breed retained their SIW Tag Team championship.

Glenn Kirby was interviewed by Greg Banks who congratulated him on his tag team win against Bryan Graves and Rikki Cook with Terror as his partner. Greg asked the Authority Of Atlanta on his the chances of regularly teaming up with Terror Soule and the A.O.A responded by saying they were very slim. Kirby warned his opponents that he was walking out with all three championships at Assault 2005.

Russel McPiledriverton who wore a shirt that said C-4 took on “The Incredible” Ian Bishop in a stretcher match. Ian came to ringside with a mic in hand and called out two paramedics. They walked out to ringside with a stretcher that has Russel’s name spray painted on it. Russel attacked Ian before the bell rang and sent him head first into the steel steps. Russel the went for the Perfect Piledriver on the Spanish table but Ian countered with a back body drop sending Russel crashing through the table. The match ended when Ian set up a table in the corner turnbuckle and hip tossed Russel through it. Ian won the match after putting an unconscious McPiledriverton on the stretcher as the paramedics took him out.

Greg Banks caught up with Outlaw Evolution, Terror Soule, Serenity, Josh Money and Death Ryder. Banks asked Terror what he thought of Kirby’s comments on winning all three titles and Terror said the A.O.A must of smoked some crack before the PPV to lie to all the fans in New Orleans like he did. Greg Banks and the Outlaws then wished Terror good luck before his Fatal Four Way Elimination match.

Three championships were on the line in the next match, the OWO Soule Championship, SIW Lightweight Championship and the SIW European Championship. The first decision won the Soule title, second decision won the Lightweight and the last decision and the winner of the match became the new SIW European champion. Bryan Graves, Terror Soule, Glenn Kirby and “Red Hot” Rikki Cook competed in a classic Fatal Four Way Elimination match. Graves was the first to get eliminated. As Rikki and Kirby took their fight to the outside, Terror delivered the Soule Fusion and pinned Graves to retain his OWO Championship. Senior referee Sam Carter sent Graves backstage as the A.O.A and Terror Soule double teamed Rikki Cook with a double suplex. Kirby sent Terror over the top rope outside of the ring and then nailed Cook with the Thug Bug. As he went for the pin, Terror pulled him out and pinned Rikki instead and became a four time SIW Lightweight champion. As Terror held both his titles, Kirby spun him around and then delivered another Thug Bug and pinned Terror Soule to become the SIW European champion and win the match. Terror Soule and Glenn Kirby showed each other respect and shook hands to a hard fought match.

Jimmy Hayden and Travis Dunns did a quick update for the SIW Academy. As of February 1, 2005, all new competitors will have to sign up at the Academy in New York City and pass their challenges before making it to the SIW. The opening date has been pushed to April 6, 2005. SIWA Wednesday Night War will be held live at the Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cameras then focused on Polar’s Office. Banks and York tried to get an interview from the interim General Manager of Carnage but instead his new secretary Shelby Kirby answered the door and told them that her boss was too busy to be interviewed and to submit all their questions to her and that she’d get back to them in two to four weeks. From now on everyone needs an appointment to speak with the Carnage GM.

Jonathan Rico took on his Rated X teammate Johnny Ringo in a #1 Contenders match for the SIW World Championship. They put their friendship aside in this brutal match booked by the CEO and both came inches from becoming the #1 contender especially when Ringo locked in Rico in the All Rolled Up Texas Cloverleaf submission. Rico managed to escape and then delivered a Standing Savate Kick. Near the end of the match, the crowd exploded as the former #1 contender and former SIW World champion The Uncanny Inferno who was sidelined with an MCL earlier in the month rushed to ringside. Inferno got them disqualified after nailing both of them with a Tornado DDT and then performed a Red Flare to both competitors laid out in the middle of the ring. We hope to hear from SIW’s super hero on Monday Night Brawl tomorrow night in Japan.

Grunge and Chastity were talking to Drako backstage trying to bury the hatchet when out of the blue The Renagde pushed Chastity out of the way and smashed his patented barbed wire steel chair with a “Are You Hardcore?” sticker on it over both their heads making them bleed even more than they were. Renegade then beat them with a ladder until security rushed to the scene. The Renegade and Drako will face each other on Monday Night Brawl for the SIW Hardcore championship in Tokyo, Japan.

A Cell was lowered with the SIW North American title hanging from above it. The challenger VeX took on the champion “Primetime” Ryan Johnson in a Hell In A Cell Death Match. The only way to win was to make sure your opponent laid unconscious and the retrieve the title hanging from above the cell. Vex pulled out a sledgehammer from under the ring early in the match and used it to viciously assault Ryan across his head with it. Vex tried to break the lock on the door with the hammer but from behind Ryan drop kicked him face first in the cell cutting his forehead open with blood gushing out. Ryan then whipped Vex several times in the cell wall until the wall collapsed and Vex went flying to the outside. As Ryan charged Vex, the challenger used a camera and smashed it across Primetime’s head breaking it in little pieces. Vex climbed the cell but before he could retrieve the title Ryan was right behind and nailed him with a running bulldog on top of the cell. Primetime tried to get the belt but Vex kicked him in the knee and delivered the The Cradle Of Death. Vex had the North American championship won until his dream turned into a nightmare. From the rafters, the last member from Rated X David Von Ramrock flew down and drop kicked Vex off the cell and into the commentary table breaking it in half. Ramrock helped up Primetime and grabbed the title. Both competitors received medical attention after the match.

The SIW Champion came out accompanied by Titan, his butler Wilfrid and his attorney Gabe Nelson. Enigma was alone and unleashed on the champion as soon as the bell rung. Earlier in the month, Matt brutally attacked Enigma’s manager Saydst. Just this last week Enigma made Uzi tap out to the Pain of Ages but on Carnage Uzi and Rated X got the win over DA and Bad Breed when Uzi pinned Enigma. The Angel of Death took the champ to the limit and came close to winning the championship after delivering a running crucifix powerbomb but Titan pulled Uzi out of the ring. Mike London came out to ringside but was legally threatened by Gabe Nelson. Titan then called SIW security on his radio and they escorted London out of the building. Meanwile in the ring, Enigma had Uzi locked in the Pain of Ages screaming in pain. Titan rammed the referee’s head in the turnbuckle and then entered the ring with the steel steps and smashed them over Enigma’s head. Titan threw the steps out of the ring as Matt executed the Uzi Piledriver. Wilfrid splashed the ref with a cold water as Uzi went for the pin. At the two count Uzi got up and called for another Uzi Piledriver. As he performed another, the crowd could hear Enigma’s neck crack. Uzi then pinned him to retain the SIW World championship. Jimmy Hayden was sad to announce in front of 18 000 plus people including crying chldren that Matt broke Enigma’s neck. Assault came to an end with Uzi celebrating in the middle of the ring holding the SIW championship up high laughing at his actions.
