The show starts with a flag match between Mohamed representing Iraq and Maurice Bad representing the USA. Titan also announced that the loser of the match will be fired on the spot. Maurice came close to making Mohamed tap as he applied the Bad Lock but Jaffar gets on the apron to distract Bad. As the referee turns his attention to Jaffar, Mohamed smashes a glass scepter on the back of Maurice’s head. The fans boo as Mohamed retrieves the Iraq flag to win the match and end Maurice Bad’s career
Jack Kent seems a little timid standing next to The Living Dead who has been extremely vocal in recent weeks about the backstage politics in the SIW and wrestling in general. Kent asks TLD if he honestly thinks he stands a chance to win this year’s Assault Rumble like he did last year. TLD says not only will he win the Rumble and go to Wrestlefest, he is also going to put Trevor Derickson in the hospital tonight. TLD tells the CEO to watch his back and not even the SIW Kings will be able to save him. The question is can Trevor's backup secret weapon save him?

Dark Tiger and Ragin’ Craig battle in a blind fold match which turns into a bloodfest when they take their masks off. After the referee disqualifies both of them, Tiger busts Craig open with a steel chair shot to his face. As Tiger charges Craig in the corner he gets a boot to his face and Craig delivers the Rage Factor. Craig pulls out a barbed wire 2x4 and scratches Tiger all over his back. Security rushes out to the ring and breaks up the huge brawl between the two superstars. Mike “The Mic” and Jimmy Hayden tells the fans that they have a feeling it won’t be the last time we see the two superstars in the ring
Liana Lewis cuts a promo with Jessica White and says tonight is history in the making when a diva gets to become the official #1 contender for the undisputed SIW Championship. Jessica White says the winner will face the SIW Champion at Meltdown, which will be a first in the SIW. Liana Lewis says she has busted her ass her whole career for this moment and she is not going to let anybody ruin her night. Liana’s parents have front row seats for the event. Can Tyson Lewis’ baby girl achieve what many thought was unachievable?
Skyler Green and Terrence Holt from the New Orleans Saints have front row tickets and get a huge pop from the crowd. Their both Revolution fans and for this they get hassled by Ascended Supremacy members and world tag team champions Marquis Laveaux and Jace Parker Davidson. Fortunately SIW champion JD Xtreme and North American champion R.C. Aries come out defend their fans
The next match is the historical diva madder match where the winner earns an SIW Championship title shot. Olivia, Rose Bonaparte, Heaven Lee, Michelle, Doomina, Tara Michaels, Vixen Foxx and Liana Lewis put on a quite a show with several unfortunate bumps. Liana uses the ladder and nails Rose out of the ring and then sets it up. Out of nowhere Vixen delivers a german suplex off the ladder. Michelle climbs up but Tara suplexes her off the top of the ladder and Michelle lands on a steel chair. Doomina misses Heaven Lee with a clothesline and out of nowhere she is hit with a spear from Liana. Vixen slaps Heaven and whips her across the ring by her hair. Liana and Tara both set up ladders and the Ascended Supremacy divas starts battling each other at the top of the ladders. Vixen pushes Liana’s ladder and she falls over knocking down Tara’s ladder. However Tara is still holding on the briefcase and Liana is holding on to her leg. Vixen jumps off another ladder and goes for a double drop kick. The divas fall but its Tara that has the briefcase in her hand as she is declared the winner
Wrestlefest 2009 will be held live from the most famous arena in the world Madison Square Garden in New York City. This sports entertainment spectacle happens only once a year and will include all the top SIW superstars.
Natedawg is backstage and says he is here tonight to catch up with old friends. He says he met with management last week but no deal has been made for any return to the ring. Jack Kent asks if he has a favorite in tonights main event and the “Street Soldier” says none because he can kick both their asses at the same time
Chris Macavedi and Enigma battle in the next match which to many fans is a dream match considering these superstars battled in different SIW times. Trevor gets nervous as he sees The Living Dead at the top of the ramp and slowly makes his way to ringside. Enigma dominates half way through the match but the referee gets knocked down as C-Mac dodges a clothesline. Trevor and C-Mac assault Enigma in the corner and all of a sudden TLD enters the ring with Jimmy’s chair and threatens to hit Trevor. Out of nowhere TLD turns and nails Enigma with a shot to his skull. C-Mac delivers the KOD and steels the win. The crowd boos and throws debris in the ring as Trevor announces The Living Dead as his new backup secret weapon!
Gavin Payne tells Jessica White and the rest of the SIW fans that he will be entering the rumble fifth abut that doesn't mean anything cause the odds are always on his side. Gavin Payne says he didn’t come back to entertain the fans but to take the SIW Championship at Wrestlefest
Jack Kent interviews the #1 contender Tara Michaels who is ecstatic about her huge win tonight at Assault. Vixen’s manager Kevin Frost says he demands his client gets a one on one shot at her contendership before Meltdown. Liana interrupts and says she would like a shot at it also. Tara tells them to get management to sanction the match and she will not back down from anybody
R.C. Aries finally managed to get his hands on the pesky SIW King Ashton Daniels who was involved with his kidnapping and has been a thorn on his side for several weeks. As many dirty tricks Daniels tried to pull, it was not enough to put away the North American champion. R.C. uses the RCF and makes Daniels tap out to retain the championship. After the match, c-Mac and The Living Dead deliver a beat down to R.C. and leave him motionless in the middle of the ring. C-Mac places the Na title over R.C. as they exit the ringside area
Trevor tells general manager Titan he is an idiot and making the diva ladder match was the stupidest idea he ever came up with. Titan says he will make Meltdown work, and besides some of the divas might put out tonight since he gave them this great opportunity. Trevor tells him if the buyrates are low, he is ordering Liana kick his last ball out of his ass

Trevor seems very concerned as C-Mac and The Living Dead battle outside of the ring. Jace Parker Davidson ends the match as he eliminates E.C. by throwing him over the top rope. Jace Parker Davidson is going to Wrestlefest!
Marquis Laveaux and JD Xtreme close the show as they battle for the SIW championship in a Last Man Standing Match chosen by the fans of the SIW through texting and via the web. JD is in control at the beginning of the match until he leaps out of the ring and misses a suicide dive. Laveaux whips him into the security wall and then clotheslines him into the crowd. They battle in the crowd until JD launches Marquis with a back body drop over the wall. JD leaps off the wall with a flying body press and the referee starts the count. Marquis is up at six and the match continues back and forth. JD picks up Marquis and launches him head first into the glass Assault sign at the side of the Trevortron and shatters it. The referee starts the count but JD gets up before ten. JD delivers a suplex and calls for his finisher the Adrenalin Rush. He starts climbing to the top of the Trevortron but Marquis is not far behind and joins him at the top. They exchange lefts and rights and Marquis delivers a superplex off the Trevortron and lands through tables at the side of the ramp. The fans start a “holy shit” chant. The referee starts the count and right before he reaches ten Marquis uses the side of the ramp to lift himself up and is declared the new SIW Champion as the show ends
