Desperate Measures starts with Metalgod putting the SIW Hardcore championship on the line against the Definition of Hardcore The Renegade. Metalgod comes out with a cart filled with weapons sponsored by www.homebase.co.uk. Renegade charges him and Metalgod nails him with a trash can. Metalgod grabs a staple gun and goes to use it on Renegade but the DOH kicks him in the family jewels and whips him onto the cart and everything falls over. Renegade uses a concrete block and smashes it over Metalgod’s head. Renegade goes for a cover on the entrance ramp and Metalgod manages to kick out at two. Metalgod pulls out a bull whip from under the ring and whips Renegade until blood started showing through his shirt. Metalgod goes for a cover but the DOH kicks out. Metalgod goes for a clothesline but the DOH moves and Metalgod hits the steel post. Renegade rips off Metalgod’s shirt and lashes him with the bull whip until he draws blood and even smashes a clarinet over his head. Near the end of the match, Metalgod delivers the GodBomb but instead of going for a cover he spreads thumbtacks all over the ring goes for a super GodBomb off the top rope. Renegade counters into a Slam Jam DDT off the top rope right onto the thumbtacks. The crowd starts a “holy shit” chant as Renegade covers to regain the SIW Hardcore Championship. Both competitors received medical attention after the match.
Cameras focus in the t.W.o corporate locker room. TJD is wearing a “I’m a bad ass” t-shirt and is getting wrestling tips from SIW champion C-Mac. TJD welcomes the UK crowd to Desperate Measures and announces that it will be a night to remember as the t.W.o will dominate once again. The crowd starts an “Asshole” chant and TJD calls the crowd a bunch of limeys. Liana and C-Mac cut promos for their matches and we then learn that Natedawg, Impulse and Maurice Bad must dress as Beefeaters when they take on the World Tag Team Champions.
A video package is shown for the next pay per view Summersonic on July 30, 2005. Don’t miss all the top Monday Night Brawl & Carnage superstars live from the Home Depot Center in Carson, California for the hottest event of the summer!
World Tag Team champions Drako and Craig aka New Damage Inc. came out and announced they added some European dates to their college tour. They want everyone to do their part to end corporate corruption. They asked the crowd to support Angel and Kirby but they are soon interrupted by Affirmative Action who rush out dressed as beefeaters and immediately attack the champs as the handicap tag team tornado match gets underway. Drako and Craig dominate and quickly clear the ring and the fans are on their feet. Affirmative Action regroup and plan a strategy and get back into the ring. Impulse and Nate ambush Drako in the corner but Craig avoids a clothesline from Bad and throws him out of the ring with a gorilla press. Craig attacks Nate and throws him out of the ring and he lands on Bad. Drako nails Impulse with the Conservative Slam and pins him to retain the titles on pay per view.
Natedawg and Maurice Bad are interviewed by Jack Kent after their match. Bad announces that Impulse just quit Affirmative Action and the SIW and has left the arena to go to his hotel. Natedawg then tells TJD and t.W.o to go screw themselves and that they don’t have fire them cause they quit the t.W.o and Brawl. The former World Tag Team Champions are escorted out of the building.
Before the next match, Katie Mysfit and Jimmy Hayden presented a video recapping the history of the SIW European championship covering every title run from hall of fame member Jason Snow to Khristian Call to the current champion A.B.A. The next triple threat match for the European championship between Heavy Metal Hero, Blackowt and A.B.A was one of the most anticipated matches of the night. A.B.A got a nice pop from the crowd as he made his entrance carrying the UK flag. HMH got some cheers as well but Blackowt was greeted with “t.W.o sucks” chants. HMH and A.B.A double team Blackowt at the beginning of the match until some miscommunication happens. A.B.A whips Blackowt into the corner but Blackowt reverses and sends A.B.A into HMH which knocks him out of the ring. Blackowt calls HMH and old man that’s past his prime but out of nowhere, the grizzled veteran pulls him out of the ring and delivers a devastating snap suplex on the concrete ground. A.B.A knocks HMH down with a baseball slide kick. The referee almost counts out Blackowt and HMH but Blackowt gets back in the ring and clips A.B.A’s knee. Blackowt applies his self titled submission finisher but HMH is back in the ring to break the hold. Late in the match, the referee is down and Blackowt gets a folded steel chair. He swings at A.B.A but the champ moves and HMH taste the steel instead and is knocked unconscious. A.B.A hits the Bad Ass Bomb and covers but the referee is still down. As A.B.A is checking on referee Andrew Yung, from under the ring Vince Aprali pops out and smashes the champion’s skull with a steel pipe. Aprali wakes up the referee with a glass of ice water and Blackowt manages to get a cover by reaching his arm over. The fans start booing and throwing debris towards their new Euro champ Blackowt who is helped backstage by Aprali.
After the last match, Jack Kent gets a few words from a disappointed A.B.A who claims that he and HMH worked hard all month for their match and blackowt sold his soul to the devil to be a part of it. A.B.A claims he was screwed by the t.W.o just like Kirby was screwed for the SIW Championship but he’s not going to sit back and take their shit. A.B.A says hes going to do something about the t.W.o tonight at Desperate Measures.
TJD and C-Mac are lurking around the London Arena parking area holding crowbars and come across Angel’s Harley Davidson. TJD gives the SIW champion the signal and they destroy the beautiful bike by smashing it with the crowbars. TJD then calls over a staff members and orders him to go to Angel’s locker room and tell him someone vandalized his property.
The SIW Women’s Championship was on the line in another historic confrontation between Xtina and Liana Lewis. Xtina gets a standing ovation as she comes out wearing an English soccer jersey to support the team. Liana slaps her and then all hell breaks loose in the ring. Liana was more vicious than ever and busted Xtina wide open after whipping her into the steel entrance. Liana applies a sleeper hold in the middle of the ring to wear out her opponent but Xtina manages to break out of the move and delivers a DDT. Xtina covers but the million dollar princess kicks out. Liana rolls her up into an inside cradle but Xtina reverses but only gets a two count. The match continues to go back and forth and all of sudden off the ropes the divas hit each other with a double clothesline. Liana gets up first and covers but only gets a two count. Liana gets frustrated and goes for a chair but the referee takes it away from her. Xtina rolls her up from behind but Liana kicks out. Liana continues to dominate until she misses a clothesline and Xtina delivers the Goodie Kick and pins her to once again become the SIW Women’s champion. Liana gets up and can’t believe what just happened and starts running her mouth. Out of nowhere, Xtina nails her in the head and sends her out of the ring using a UK flag pole and celebrates her big win waving the flag.
Angel is told about what happened to his motorcycle. Angel knows exactly who’s behind this and doesn’t seem too concerned. Angel says this is just a cheap tactic by the t.W.o to get him off his game but it’s not going to work. Jessie who has a bandage over her head says she’s personally going to kick TJD in the groin for what he did to her last week on Brawl.
Jack Kent finds former SIW Champion Glenn Kirby and Erin backstage and gets a few words. Kirby said while C-Mac is busy acting like a juvenile delinquent with TJD, he’s been preparing for this match all month and the A.O.A is determined to bring the SIW title back to Georgia. Glenn is then confronted by Vince Aprali who tells him that there is no way he’s going to beat his client Mr.Brawl the SIW Champion. Vince says that little slut Erin better mind her business and then she slaps him across his face. Road agents have to separate Kirby and Vince.
TJD comes out to ringside wearing a Brazil soccer jersey and is forced to make his entrance escorted by heavy security. TJD calls out Angel and tells him to get his ass to the ring. The t.W.o leader gets a huge surprise and looks like he might soil himself as Angel is escorted to the ring by the London Chapter of the Hell’s Angel’s. The bikers are forced to go backstage and Angel starts the match as he attacks the CEO with vicious lefts and rights into the corner. Angel proceeds to kick him down in the corner until referee Manny Kramer threatens to disqualify him. Angel goes for the Atonement Spear in the corner but TJD moves and Angel hits the steel post with his shoulder. The crowd starts booing as Vince Aprali makes his way to ringside; meanwhile back in the ring TJD has the upper hand in the match. TJD applies the Judgment Sharpshooter to Angel in the middle of the ring but the energy of the fans helps Angel reach the ropes and kick out of his own finisher. Aprali jumps on the apron but Jessie hits him with a low blow. Angel then whips TJD but he reverses and sends Angel crashing into Vince who lands on Jessie on the outside. The referee is checking on Jessie on the outside, Angel seems concerned. TJD pulls out a set of brass knucks and levels Angel to the back of his skull. TJD puts one foot on Angel’s chest and the referee sees this and does a three count.
On August 16, 2006, the SIW will present Wednesday War live on CBS for a second time. The classic event will feature members from both brands Brawl and Carnage.
TJD, Vince and Blackowt celebrate the upset win after the match then all of a sudden the lights go purple and the UWWE theme is played. A.B.A leads Bozzman, Jason Brown and Metal Moses to the ring wearing UWWE t-shirts and carrying folded steel chairs. They totally annihilate the t.W.o members to a bloody pulp and escape thru the crowd before security can arrest them. “UWWE” chants filled the arena as TJD, Blackowt and Vince are taken out on stretchers.
SIW Champion “The Sensational” Chris Macavedi made his entrance alone and the fans start throwing eggs at him after he complained about the lack of respect the crowd has for the greatest SIW Champion of all time. Glenn Kirby outwrestled the SIW champion at the beginning of the match and got a near fall after delivering flying body press off the top rope but C-Mac kicks out. “UWWE” chants are heard during the match but C-Mac continued to dominate and delivers the Italian Leg Sweep. Late in the match, both men are coming off the ropes and Kirby misses a Thug Bug and C-Mac delivers a devastating Spine Buster. C-Mac delivers the Kiss Of Death Dominators and gets an impressive win via pin fall. As C-Mac taunts the crowd and runs his mouth about the UWWE, the lights go purple again and UWWE rebels A.B.A, Bozzman, Jason Brown and Metal Moses appear from the crowd and assault the SIW Champion four on one. A.B.A delivers the Bad Ass Bomb on a steel chair and then Metal Moses hits the The Sinai Buster. A.B.A and Moses hold C-Mac as Jason Brown levels him in his skull with a steel chair. The pay per view ends with Bozzman locking the Bozzinator and C-Mac laying in a pool of his own blood unconscious.
