Meltdown starts with a beautiful young woman signing the Star Spangled Banner live from the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mike “The Mic” announces that Mike Bartrum, Brian Dawkins and A.J. Feeley from the Philadelphia Eagles are in the front row supporting hometown hero Natedawg who will challenge his former tag team partner Maurice Bad for the Heavyweight Championship in the main event

The fans are in a frenzy in the first match as Ashley Simpson makes her entrance for her match against Michelle for the SIW Lightweight Championship. Michelle taunt’s some Ashley fans in the front row and Ashley pulls her hair from behind and slams her head on the commentary table. Ashley slaps the champ and then throws her in the ring. As Ashley slides in, Michelle drops a devastating elbow and kicks the pop star in the corner until the referee pulls her off. Michelle whips Ashley into the other corner and crushes her with a corner splash. Michelle goes to the top rope and delivers a leg drop but Ashley moves and Michelle hits the canvas. Ashley should not have celebrated so soon because from behind Michelle rolls her up and gets the three count to win the match. After the match Ashley freaks out and smashes a camera on he entrance ramp

The road to Wrestlefest officially starts at Meltdown. Wrestlefest 2007 will be held live from the Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida on March 25, 2006. This sports entertainment spectacle happens only once a year and will include the superstars of Brawl and Carnage as well as the traditional hall of fame induction!

The next match is a triple threat match between Asylum, Scott Bastion & Zach Blain to determine a #1 contender for the SIW North American championship at Wrestlefest. Asylum who is a heavy favorite in this match teams up with Blain to take out Bastion early in the match but Bastion retaliates and sends them out of the ring with a double clothesline. Bastion beats down asylum in the corner but Blain attacks him from behind and drops him with a DDT. Blain covers but Bastion kicks out. Asylum locks Blain in his version of the tazzmision but Bastion breaks the hold. The match ends when Bastion throws Blain off the top rope to the outside but as he turns around Asylum delivers the Near Death Experience and pins him to win the match

SIW Champion Drako makes a special appearance at Meltdown and visits his long time friend Grunge. They are interviewed by Jessica White and they say a Damage Inc reunion and/or an EBW return could possibly happen down the line. Grunge also announces that he will introduce his new manager tonight when he takes on the current North American Champion Sonny Smith

Possibly one of the most controversial stars in Carnage history, Darren “Direct Hit” Knight makes his pay per view debut against the “Pure Legend” Ryan Ford in a best 2 out of 3 match. Ryan’s Heavyweight title shot is up for grabs. Ford agreed to put everything on the line last Carnage after Knight cost him another match for the second week in a row. Ford gets an early fall after catching Knight off guard and hitting him with the Ford Driver. Knight can’t believe it and turns things around by delivering a low blow and then drops Ford with a DDT. Knight covers but Ford kicks out. Knight continues to dominate until he charges Ford in the corner get gets hit with a kick to his face. Ford climbs the top rope but Knight climbs up also and delivers the Direct Hit off the top rope and pins Ford. The match continues at 1-1 but moments later Ford goes for a pin fall with a school boy pin but Knight counters and steals he win. Darren Knight throws Ford out of the ring after the match and celebrates his huge victory

On July 11, 2007, the SIW will present Wednesday War live on CBS. The classic event will feature members from both brands Brawl and Carnage.

Hometown hero Natedawg cuts a promo with Jessica White. Nate says that it’s going to be an honor to battle and beat Maurice Bad for the Heavyweight championship in his hometown. Nate says all the training and his hard work has finally paid off. Maurice Bad appears and tells him to not jump to conclusions. Maurice says this may be his hometown but he did not come all the way to Philly to loose the most prestigious championship in wrestling. They get into a stare down but eventually go their separate ways when Nate tells him “may the best man win”

The next match between Grunge and “The Assassin” Sonny Smith is for the SIW North American Championship. Grunge comes out with his new manager which is none other than former Heavyweight champion Gavin Payne. The fans are behind Smith in this confrontation but that does not stop Grunge from leading the match by keeping Smith down working his left knee. Asylum makes his way down the ramp and joins mike and Travis at commentary. Asylum says he respects both competitors but there is no way he’s losing to either of them at Wrestlefest. Grunge hits Smith with a leg drop on his left leg and then pulls him to the ring post and swings the leg twice around the post. Grunge goes to whip smith into the steel steps but Smith reverses and Grunge comes face to face with unforgiving steel. Late in the match Smith delivers the Assassination and covers but the referee is distracted by Payne on the outside. Smith goes off the ropes and nails Payne with a baseball slide which sends him crashing into the security wall. Grunge attacks Smith from behind and whips him off the ropes but Grunge avoids a flying clothesline and then delivers the Grunganator and covers but Smith puts his leg on the bottom rope. The fans start a “Sonny” chant as Smith avoids a corner splash and kicks Grunge in the face. Smith climbs to the top rope but Payne pushes him off. Smith fights off Grunge and goes after Payne. Smith bodyslams Payne off the entrance ramp but he’s quickly attacked by Grunge from behind. The battle until the referee calls the match a double count out

After he match, General Manager Greg Banks comes out and says that since we don’t have a definite winner, at Wrestlefest were going to see Asylum take on Grunge and Sonny Smith for the North American Championship in a Triple Threat Match

SIW Hall Of Famer Ninja makes a special appearance and gets a standing ovation. Ninja announced that he has the honors to induct former SIW European champion and the very first SIW Lightweight champion, Marc Dustin

Jessica White tries to get a few words from Ryan Ford but there is no answer after knocking on the door. Down the hall she sees none other than former controversial SIW superstar Dallas Nash surrounded by models and drinking champagne. He says he’s currently trying to negotiate a contract to wrestle on Carnage but tonight he’s at Meltdown to see some old friends and to watch the show. Nash leaves and tells White he’ll see her around

The next tag team match is for the SIW Tag Team championship as the challengers Matt Uzi & Gabriel Cervantes try to dethrone the champs Collision Course. Uzi attacks Doogan as soon as the bell rings and unleashes on his nemesis. Uzi kicks Doogan down in the corner and then starts the choke him but let’s go as the referee starts the five count. Uzi continues to delivers cheap shots but out of nowhere Gateman drop kicks “The Greatest One”. Uzi tags in Cervantes who knocks Gateman of the apron and drops five elbows on Doogan and covers but the “Living Dead” kicks out. Referee Frank Wellington quickly looses control of this match and gets knocked out. Doogan nails with the DooganDT and covers but the referee is still out. The match continues as Gateman drops Cervantes with the BKO while Uzi deliver the Uzi Piledriver to Doogan. A hurt Wellington starts to count Gateman’s cover slowly but from the back runs out referee Wayne Cashmere who counts Uzi cover also. Cashmere hands Uzi the tag titles but Wellington claims Collision Course are the winners. The referees argue until Greg Banks comes out and and calls them idiots. Banks says that match will be declared a no contest and the title will be vacated till this Friday. This decision did not fit well with the Philly fans

After the match, Greg Banks tells senior referee Sam Carter that he’s firing both Frank Wellington & Wayne Cashmere

An advertisement is played for Carnage this week on Friday. Grunge & Natedawg will battle Matt Uzi & Cervantes and Collision Course for the SIW Tag Team championship

Extreme champion Natedawg and Heavyweight champion Maurice Bad have the fans on their feet as they get into a stare down before the match starts. As the bell rings they lock up and take turns at throwing each other across the ring showing us they are even in strength. After a test of strength, Nate gets frustrated and nails Bad with lefts and rights and Bad fights back. The match becomes a street fight outside of the ring but referee Same Carter gets them back in the ring. Nate nails Bad with the S.O.S and seems to have the match won but Bad kicks out at the last second. Nate can’t believe it and covers again but Bad kicks out again. Nate whips Bad from corner to corner nailing him with corner splashes but at the last corner Bad moves and Nate crashing into the turnbuckles. Bad starts working Nate’s ankle and applies the Bad Lock but Nate desperately struggles and reaches the ropes and Bad has to break the hold. Nate delivers a spine buster and then goes to deliver the Gangstanator but Bad counters into a back body drop and clotheslines him out of the ring. Bad slides to the outside and goes for a belly to belly but Nate hits him with a devastating head butt and sends him head first into the steel post. Nate throws Bad in the ring and climbs the top rope but the champion jumps up and delivers a belly to belly off the top rope but twists his ankle in the process. Nate notices this and kicks Bad in his ankle several times and puts him in his own Bad Lock finisher. Nate twists the ankle like a a rabid animal but if there is anyone that knows a way out it’s Bad and he does by turning and kicking Nate in the head. Bad falls to the ground as Nate kicks his ankle again but Bad. Nate delivers a running power slam and covers but Bad kicks out just in time. A frustrated Nate rolls up Bad but Bad moves over a little and the referee counts to three. Natedawg takes the title and holds it up but the referee takes it away and gives it to Bad and awards him the winner. The referee says it was Natedawg’s shoulders that were touching the mat and not Bad’s.

After the match, Nate grabs the title and looks at it but then respectfully hands it back to Maurice and raises his hand in victory. Maurice, Nate, Sonny and Bad’s family celebrate in the ring as the show ends
