Live from Dallas, Texas, the SIW presented the biggest wresting show of the year, Wrestlefest 2005. The show started with Kevin McColl’s Hall Of Fame induction. Kevin is known to the world as Titan, the former SIW Hardcore, Tag Team and European champion and the current General Manager of the hit tv show, Monday Night Brawl. Standing at 7’1”, Titan has over 70 wins in his career and has helped build the SIW what it is today. Kevin was inducted by Greg Banks and Christina York. Before the first match, Angelica Hunt and Christina were handing out parking stubs. A few weeks back, Shelby made them the official parking lot attendants. To make things worse, H-Bomb and Regina Todd were not far away and started laughing their ass off. They divas didn’t seem to pleased and vowed revenge.
The TrevorTron showed taped footage from early afternoon from the Grapevine Mills mall in Dallas. Mike London put his SIW European Championship on the line against “The Incredible” Ian Bishop in a Brawl Mall. They had a brutal match fighting in several different stores. It ended when Bishop suplexed London off the third floor in a water fountain. Both men laid unconscious but London’s left arm covered Bishop and he got the lucky pin fall to win the match.
The SIW World Champion Glenn Kirby arrived at the Airlines Arena in a stretch limo. He went directly to the ring in his suit to talk to all his fans. Lots of people in the crowd received free A.O.A hats and t-shirts and replica’s of the SIW World title belt. He then had a special Wrestlefest rap song he wrote about his love for Liana Lewis. Rated X came out and interrupted him on the entrance ramp and threatened to beat him up before their match. Before anything could come of it, SIW officials held back Kirby and Rated X.
The next match got under way as Liana Lewis finally got her chance to compete for the SIW Women’s Championship on the biggest stage possible. She took on the current champion Latesha in a classic twenty five minute confrontation. Liana Lewis defeated Latesha for the SIW Women’s champion after she delivered the Hell’s Message and pinned her. Liana’s parents were in attendance and the Lewis family celebrated in the ring after the match.
Shelby Kirby told Vette that he could have the night off. She told him to relax and enjoy the show. Vette will be back on duty as Carnage’s Enforcer this Thursday. Titan then interrupted their conversation and told Shelby she can have Vette the nobody as her enforcer cause he signed Polar to a MNB exclusive contract. A video promo for SIW’s newest Superstar, Caution then aired to hype his debut this Wednesday in Tulsa, Oklahoma as he takes on Markus Blake.
SIW Tag champion Mysery attacked James Airington before he made it in the ring as their Ladder Match for the SIW Lightweight Championship got underway. Airington almost got a quick pin after delivering a hurracanranna but Mysery kicked out. Mysery countered a DDT into a back body drop and then started to climb the ladder. Airington drop kicked the ladder and Mysery went flying to the outside. Prophet made his way to the ring and started to beat down the champion until a person wearing a red cloak came to ringside with a baseball bat. He nailed Prophet across his head and then hit Mysery. Airingtion climbed the ladder and grabbed the belt to win the match. Everyone thought it was London but the Extreme champ came out with a bandage on his head and announced the person wearing the cloak was the newest member of the Natural Born Killers……”The Incredible” Ian Bishop. NBK finished beating the O.C. with their new move, Natural Star Press and then celebrated in the ring until Shelby Kirby came out with medical records. She said that James was 222 lbs, that’s two pounds over the maximum 220. She then declared Mysery the new SIW Lightweight champion via management decison.
Christina York held an interview with Dr.Lucas and “Powerhouse” Tim Smith. They talked shit about Khristian Call and said their match on Monday Night Brawl is a joke. The continued their interview until Call appeared from behind and nailed both of them with a garbage can and kicked them down. Security quickly broke it up. Smith and Call then pushed security aside and continued fighting. Several SIW wrestlers like Russel McPiledriverton, Metalgod and others had to jump in to finally break it up.
After a commercial for SIW Full Force, the next PPV in April, the next match was a No Count Out, No Disqualification Match for the SIW North American Championship. Drako came running out with a steel chair but Inferno dodged all his shots and eventually gave him a kick to the mid section and closelined him over the top rope. Inferno then placed Drako in a tree of woe and started kicking him down. Then to everyone’s surprise, Grunge made his SIW return at Wrestlefest in Drako’s aid. He went to attack Inferno with a closeline but Inferno ducked and Grunge ended up nailing Drako. Inferno gave Grunge a DDT and then executed the Meteor Drop on Drako and pinned him to retain the SIW North American championship. As the ref handed Inferno the belt, Grunge wrapped a camera wire around his throat and choked him down to the canvas. His face turned blue and the former Damage Inc team weren’t finished. Drako picked him up and delivered the Last In Line. They left him in a pool of blood after Grunge executed the Grunganator.
Ramrock and Primetime were on the phone with Matt Uzi, the “New Era” said he was running late but he was on his way to the American Airlines Arena. Before Greg Banks could get a few words, Rated X slammed their locker room door in his face. Ramrock and Primetime were set to fight Glenn Kirby in the main event for the SIW World Championship with Matt Uzi as the match enforcer.
Angel made his SIW PPV return in a huge match for the #1 contendership for the SIW World Championship against “Red Hot” Rikki Cook. The winner of the match goes on to face the SIW Champion whoever it may be at SIW Full Force. Rikki Cook put up a great fight against the former SIW World Champion but he twisted his ankle late in the match and Angel capitalized with the Atonement Spear. Angel won the match after Rikki Cook tapped out to the Judgment Sharpshooter.
As the main event started, Jimmy Hayden announced that the match enforcer Matt Uzi still hadn’t arrived at the arena. Senior official Sam Carter officiated the match instead. Ramrock and Primetime wasted no time and doubled teamed the Authority Of Atlanta throughout the whole match. The SIW champion had no chance at all of coming out of this one a winner but didn’t go down without a fight. He threw Ramrock in front of the Primetime Plunge and recovered outside the ring. Ramrock then pushed Primetime and the Rated X members started fighting each other. Clover and Bernardo tried to get them to focus on Kirby but it didn’t help. The stalker then appeared and just stood near the ring and watched the match. Ramrock whipped Primetime to the ropes and drop kicked him out of the ring. Kirby went to nail Ramrock with a Thug Bug, but Ramrock moved and then delivered his patentend Triple Kick Combo with the third kick hitting the ref in the head. Ramrock covered Kirby but the ref was out. Primetime pulled Ramrock out of the ring and smashed a camera over his head. He entered the ring and the SIW champion nailed him with the Thug Bug and covered him. Carter was still out but then Matt Uzi came running and counted the pin fall and awarded the match to Glenn Kirby. Matt Uzi said it was time to find out who the the Rated X stalker was, Primetime and Ramrock barely got to their feet and saw Uzi pull the mask off none other than Trevor Derickson. Contrary to popular belief, the odds were actually against Rated X the whole time.
