The Road To Wrestlefest continued on Carnage. Last week, The Uncanny Inferno lost to Mike London by DQ but this week they faced off in a steel cage in a re-match for the SIW North American Championship. Inferno had lost the belt on Saturday but regained on Wednesday from Drako. Live in Sacramento, the show started backstage as Mohamed Abdul Sheik, Jaffar and Rashad were beating the hell out of the SIW World/Euro Champion Glenn Kirby. The terrorists left the A.O.A unconscious on the ground and quickly left the arena before Polar’s security guards and paramedics arrived on the scene.
Prophet was accompanied by former SIW Women’s Champion H-Bomb as he took on “Powerhouse” Tim Smith in a Table Match. Mysery came out late in the match and shook hands with Smith but as he turned around, Mysery nailed him with a DDT on a steel chair. H-Bomb set up a table and Prophet powerslammed Smith through it to win the match. Mysery and Prophet pulled out new t-shirts that said OC. Mysery went to kiss H-Bomb but instead he nailed her with the Torute Soul. They spary painted OC on their victims backs and left the arena.
Angel arrived at the Arco Arena and immediately got interviewed by Christina York. They talked about his #1 contendership match at Wrestlefest and about his leave for a few months. Out of nowhere, Rikki smashed a tray of Pepsi across Angel’s face and then rammed his head into a cement wall. Rikki then smashed Angel’s guitar to pieces and choked the former SIW World Champion with a string until he turned blue. Security and staff members had a hard time stopping Cook who left Angel in critical condition nearly two and a half weeks before Wrestlefest.
After a video package covering SIWA’s Wednesday War on PPV, Angelica Hunt took on Alex Andrews who came out as her alter ego Chick Wonder. Angelica finally got her revenge on Andrews who costed her match against Christina last week and a shot at the Women’s championship at Wrestlefest. Angelica won the match after a delivering the A-Bomb drop to get the pin fall. The two divas shook hands after the match and left ringside together.
Before his match. The undefeated SIW Lightweight Champion James Airington was in his locker room talking to Envy with his arm around her. He offered her his title and said she was more important than he was. She declined but told him to kick ass in the ring and that they’d go out on another date after the show.
After a commercial break, the undefeated SIW Lightweight Champion James Airington took on the Markus Blake in his debut match on Carnage. Airington knew very little of his opponent and Blake did well in his debut. Airington however pulled off the win after a flying lariat and the Airington Star Press to get the pin fall.
Christina York interviewed SIW Tag Team/Extreme Champion Mike London who was drinking a beer before his match and celebrating Airington’s victory. Christina mentioned Wrestlefest and London appeared irritated that he wasn’t booked considering he claimed that after the show was done, he would have three championships. Then out of nowhere, “The Incredible” Ian Bishop made his return to the SIW and stood face to face with London. Bishop pushed York aside and challenged London to a match at Wrestlefest to get back the title that he brought to the SIW, the Extreme championship. London agreed to the match and walked away.
Carnage General Manager Shelby Kirby came to ringside to announce the main event for the biggest wrestling event of the year, Wrestlefest. On March 27, 2005 in Dallas, “Primetime” Ryan Johnson and David Von Ramrock will fight the SIW Champion whoever it may be at the time in a Triple Threat Match for the SIW World Championship. Then she made an even bigger blockbuster announcement, the main event will feature a match enforcer and it will be none other than the “New Era” Matt Uzi who will make his return to the SIW live on PPV.
Mike London took on The Uncanny Inferno in a steel cage match for the SIW North American Championship. London was cut opened after being thrown into the cage so many times and drop kicked face first into it. Inferno was also busted open, bleeding everywhere and was left motionless on the canvas after a super plexed off the cage. London crawled to the door to win the match but from the crowd, Ian Bishop appeared and slammed the door in his face and broke his nose. Inferno pinned London to retain his title as the show ended.
