                                                    August, 8th

Hello fans and WELCOME TO THE LOWDOWN!! I am your host Clark Mead, the man with the all the dirt, backstage happenings, and hottest news in the Titan Wrestling Federation! It has been two weeks since our last Lowdown and a lot of action has occurred in the newly Resurrected TWF! This edition of the Lowdown however will not cover all of that action as normal. Instead we will take a look at the Pay Per View and take a look back over the last few weeks that lead up to, and what will be known as the TWF presents, “BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!” Let’s get on to…THE LOWDOWN!!!

The headliner, the main event, the TWF WORLD TITLE is what every superstar in the here in the TWF strives to obtain. On Sunday August 17th we will see two men challenge the World Champion in a Triple Threat match for the TWF World title. Lets take a look first off at Paul Stone, the self-proclaimed Dark Horse in this match.

Stone has been riding a wave of success since his debut here in Titan and has taken many buy surprise. Upon signing his contract, Stone was entered into the 4 man tournament to name the Number 1 contender for the championship. He ended up losing his first round match to the one and only “Pied Piper” Kirk Visconty. However, he was granted a second chance into the match and he would have to take on the “King of the Titans” Tyler Wells in order to get the 3rd spot in the match. In what proved to be a controversial ending, Stone walked away the victor of the match and the first man to stake his claim in the main event. The controversy surrounding the match was that Tyler Wells seemingly had Stone defeated with the Elitification, however, when the 3 count should’ve came down, it never did, and Stone still layed motionless on the canvas. It didn’t matter 5 minutes later though as Stone locked Wells in the Stone Cutter and just as anyone else in the world, Wells had to tap. Stone earned his shot at the title. However, this past week on Rising he was granted a non-title match against Steve Somers, maybe as a warm-up, or just for the two to test each other out. Not only did these two put on a great match that went back and forth for the better part of 15 minutes, STONE BEAT THE CHAMPION! That’s right folks! The “King of Pebbles” hit a top rope DVD on Somers and was then able to get the 3 count on him to give him the big MO coming into the match on the 17th. But Stone has lost…

And he has lost to the man that it just must be Damn Good to Be! I am talking of course about no one less than the living legend, the ego that doesn’t need any more inflation but they pay me money to inflate it even more, the “Pied Piper” Kirk Visconty! Now, as stated before, Piper did in fact beat the King of Pebbles to move on in the tournament and in the next round he went one on one with an old stablemate, Shadowflare in what was undoubtedly always a TWF Dream Match! The tension could easily have been cut with a knife when the two men were in the ring, when who else but former Damage Inc. member “Hellraiser” Wayne Harrison showed up to be the special guest referee. And, as many would’ve predicted, the appearance of Harrison signaled the beginning of the end for Shad’s run in the World title tournament. Thus solidifying Piper as the Number One Contender to Steve Somer’s World Championship!

Hundreds of hours of blood, sweat, and tears will boil down to 3 men and one 10 pound Gold Belt that will immortalize you. Who will walk out of this match as the newest member of the TWF Immortals’? Should be one helluva match folks, and I can’t wait to see it!

The World title is not the only TWF championship up for grabs on the 17th. It is only One of Three TWF title that will be decided and the one we are going to get into now is the TWF North American Title! Now, when we last left the NA title scene Maxx Devlin had just defeated Triple 6 and Demise to capture his first TWF single’s title. For a while it was unknown as to who would get the shot at the NA title as the focus of most of the wrestlers went directly to the World title. However, one man’s focus has never left the North American title and that is the “Elite One” Tyler Wells.

Wells had a bit of a rough start in his return to the TWF, losing both of his matches to get into the Triple Threat for the World title, the King of the Titan’s confidence actually seemed to have been shaken however, he quickly accepted Devlin’s challenge to a number 1 contender’s Submission match for last Rising where he was to take on Troy Mathews and “The Natural” Preston Price. As it turned out however, Mathews was unable to make it to the match due to garbage complications. But, leave it to Maxx Devlin to stir the pot even more. By selling off false secrets to both Wells and Price before the beginning of the match he was able to get each man to possibly bring it to the next level and be more than willing to beat the other into submission in this match. A match like this is something great to see folks, because these two men were in there busting their butts and putting on one hell of a wresting Clinic for all of the TWF’s great fans around the world. In the end, Wells was able to twist Price around and into the King’s Court forcing the submission and the ensuring Wells a shot at the North American title against the Dare I say It…Simply Thrilling Champion, Maxx Devlin.

The North American title will be on the line as two of the most talented, and as our female viewers will tell you, best looking Titans go one on one! Will Devlin be Simply Thrilling in his title defense or will he be Elitified by the Elite One, Tyler Wells! Should be a classic match folks!

You know TWF’ers, there are a lot of things in this industry that I really love. World title matches, autograph sessions, and even being on the road are things I have grown to love. But there is nothing better in this business then Good Clean Old Fashioned Hate, and that is what we have in our next match!

With the special stipulations yet to be announced, we will have a 2 out of 3 falls encounter between the Hardcore Icon, “Hellraiser” Wayne Harrison, and Marky Chang! The truth is folks, I don’t know much about the past history between these two, but from what I’ve heard it is nothing short of excessively violent, and I don’t expect any less from this match! This feud started two weeks ago on Rising when “Hellraiser” came out as the special guest ref for the Piper/Shadowflare match. Marky Chang made his redebut to the TWF that night by attacking Harrison, however, his attack was thwarted and he ended up costing Shad the match! Last week after Harrison beat Shadowflare, Chang stormed the ring and attacked him which has lead to this big match for both men at Back From The Dead! The key to this match, obviously, is what sort of match each superstar will pick. Now, from Hellraiser I would expect something that would live up to that nickname. Perhaps a High Incident or even a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match. But what sort of match will Marky pick? Being a great all around wrestler, Chang could excel in most any match, however, I don’t think he would want to play into Harrison’s hand and pick a No DQ style of match. Marky would be smart to go with a match that was kept in the ring, which could include a Strap match, or even a Dog Collar match. Either way these two go, I have no doubt it is going to get violent, it is going to get bloody, and it doesn’t belong anywhere else then on Pay Per View! This one will be a thriller folks, guaranteed.

The two men in our next match both started out their campaign’s here in Titan on the right foot with wins over very respected opponents. For Shadowflare, as mentioned earlier, he was able to defeat Tyler Wells by rolling through the Elitification. For Preston Price, he was able to take down Bryon Wade Osborne and make a name for himself right out of the gates here in Titan. However, neither man has been able to find that winning touch since that first match. For Shadowflare it was a tough loss against Kirk Visconty in a match he seemingly had won. Then it was yet another set back against “Hellraiser” last week on Rising, which resulted in a big brawl at the end of the show. For Preston Price it was a hard fought loss to Sebastian Black for the Generation title, even though he did manage to get a fall on Black, he wasn’t able to take the title from his hands. Then, last week in the Number One contenders match for the TWF NA title, Price was again outdone by the Elite One Tyler Wells in a great submission match. So now, these two men are starring down the barrel of a gun. A loss in this match could mean being shut out from the glory and praise of being a champion, and neither man wants to head in that direction. With both Pride and honor on the line, this match is worth more than title belts, this match is worth respect! Oh, and by the way…the Winner faces either Tyler Wells or Maxx Devlin for the TWF North American Championship on the 8/24 edition of Sunday Rising, one week after BFTD!

And Folks, if those four matches aren’t enough for you, wait till you get a load of this match for the Generation/Tv Title! “Sadistic” Sebastian Black has been on a roll here in the TWF ever since we reopened our doors. At the night of the champions he captured the Generation title, and since then he has successfully defended the belt against both Bryon Wade Osbourne and Preston Price. Black is putting his name on the title as one of the best to hold it since his stablemate Steve Somers did on his way to the top of the TWF. The past two challengers have put Black to the test, but he will be tested for the title like never before at BFTD when he goes against the former North American Champion, “Mr. Money” Todd Clayborne! Now, originally, Todd had planned to stay out of the TWF with his business making more money then ever and requiring even more of his attention then usual. However, at the discovery of his son by TWF superstar Anjel, Todd has made a return to the land of the Titans and is looking to pick up right where he left off, with Gold! Black will without a doubt have some good stipulations for his first PPV title defense, and you wonder if he will stack the odds in his favor with them, much like he has done in his previous two defenses. Look for this one to go over the 20 minute marks as it should feature some great wrestling action from two of the best athletes in the TWF!

After a very odd and bizarre Cage Match last week on Rising, Spike and Anjel have decided that their war isn’t near over yet and they will go one on one with Triple 6 as the Special Ref for the match. Sixer’s loyalties are up in the air in this match. Spike is his tag team partner and friend, but he seems to have the hots…no pun intened…for this Anjel. While this match won’t be one of Biblical proportions, you can sure bet on some good action as these both Anjel and Spike look to tear each other limb from limb! We’ll see that, and more than likely some blood drinking as these two continue their bitter fued!

And in a tag team leather strap match we will see BWO team with “Southern Dandy” Billy Hicks in his debut match against Scotty Michaels and Ms. Thang…Se7en. Each wrestler will have their own strap to use however they see fit, and folks, I see more of a Fatal 4-Way brewing here rather than a tag team match! No doubt that each individual in this match is looking to climb up the TWF ladder and the winner of this match will certainly be moved up a few notches above the others when it comes to determining title shots. Should be a very interesting match, and I’d expect anything to happen in this one!

Actually, I’d expect anything to happen during the entire PPV! That’s the best thing about PPV the Titan way folks, you never know whats going to happen, who is going to show up, who is going to win or lose because anyone can beat anyone else at anytime here in the TWF! This Sunday at Back From The Dead the Titans return to Pay Per View and folks you will be on the edge of your seat the entire time when the TWF comes live from the home of the St. Louis Blues the Savvis Center in St. Louis, MO!

Well folks, that is all for this week. I’m your host Clark Mead saying take care and God Bless and remember…if you didn’t see it here…then you don’t have THE LOWDOWN!! We’ll see you Sunday in St. Louis!
