Up until now, Christian has always been a sidekick, so to speak. While he flourished in the tag team division (he and Edge are the only tag team to hold the WWE Tag Team Titles together on seven seperate occasions), he floundered when he went solo. Despite winning the now defunct Light Heavyweight Title in his debut match, Christian always seemed to belong in the shadow of someone else. Edge, Chris Jericho, or side by side with Test, Lance Storm and William Regal. Christian's first marriage with the IC belt wasn't an enormous success. At Unforgiven, Christian rolled up Edge to win the belt, only to lose it in a ladder match the following month to to man he dethroned. Then, defeating Bradshaw, Christian entered 2002 with the European Title. Oh, what a prestigious claim... Losing it to DDP was only the least of Christians worries. He soon found himslef losing to Mark Henry, Maven, and the Big Valbowski (whom he lost to in the qualifying match of the King of the Ring tourney). After spending the next eight months in either a stable or a tag team, Christian won a Battle Royal at Judgment Day to win the Intercontinental Title. Then, he got his hair cut. That, I object to, but the change seems to be doing him good. Can't complain about that.
