Ruby's tribute

WHEN I DIE, WELL I MAY NOT GO TO HEAVEN 'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF THEY LET COWBOYS IN, IF THEY DON'T, JUST LET ME GO TO TEXAS 'CAUSE TEXAS IS AS CLOSE AS I'VE BEEN .....
NEW YORK COULDN'T HOLD MY ATTENTION DETROIT CITY COULDN'T SING A COUNTRY SONG IF TOMORROW FINDS ME BUSTED FLAT IN DALLAS I WON'T CARE 'CAUSE AT LEAST I'LL KNOW I'M HOME
(CHORUS)I'D RIDE THROUGH ALL OF HELL AND HALF OF TEXAS JUST TO HEAR WILLIE NELSON SING A COUNTRY SONG BEER JUST AIN'T AS COLD IN OLD MILWAUKEE MY BODY'S HERE BUT MY SOUL'S IN SAN ANTONE.
This song will always remind me of David. I was living in Chaparral, New Mexico when David died. I was right around twelve years old. I still remember the sadness I felt. They did a segment about him and had this song playing since then this is David's song.
WHEN I DIE, WELL I MAY NOT GO TO HEAVEN 'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF THEY LET COWBOYS IN, IF THEY DON'T, JUST LET ME GO TO TEXAS 'CAUSE TEXAS IS AS CLOSE AS I'VE BEEN.
There have been many rumors about him and how he left us but the thing that matters most is he was here and he touched many people leaving them all with their own memories. Thank you David and it is true Heaven needed a champion.......
