Uncensored 1997 was the start of a feud that would last almost the whole year. Diamond Dallas Page had challenged the Macho Man, who had refused to even acknowledge him, the a match.

DDP cut an interview with Mean Gene when Macho and Elizabeth appeared over near the announcers stage. Macho described to Page that he and Liz had been walking through the airport when they noticed that Kimberly, Page's wife, was featured in Playboy's Celebrity Special. Elizabeth showed the photo that had been sprayed with nWo to the audience. Kimberly came out and DDP challenged her about it. Savage jumped Page and beat him on the ground. Kimberly tried to cover Page but Liz simply sprayed her with paint.
