WCW Circa 2000 Well, well, WCW strikes again during the Bischoff-Russo era to bring us a new brand of Backstreet Boys.. 3 Count! Now I'll admit, all 3 of these guys are decent wrestlers.. 2 out of the 3 of them even held the WCW Cruiserweight title (Evan Karagias and Shane Helms), but WHOEVER thought of having them come out to the ring every week and sing the most HORRIBLE song I've ever heard... then have them claim the record went gold must have been smokin something. To make matters worse...
TANK ABBOT became their #1 fan!!! Now who would expect a huge man like Tank.. who looks more like a biker, be dancing around in the backstage area listening to 3 Count. Must have been Russo's idea. Anyway.. after only a few weeks with their "golden record", the record was stolen by none other than the Jung Dragons... another bunch of talented cruiserweights. After a HORRIBLE feud over the golden record, they finished it off with a double ladder match at New Blood Rising, when 3 Count, with the help of their #1 fan, Tank Abbot, defeated Jung Dragons in a decent match. After this.. they feuded a bit more, then split up, Kaz Hayashi and Yang stayed together.. and Helms and Moore stayed together.. but all of a sudden, Jamie-San took off his mask, revealing he wasn't Japanese at all and started teaming with Evan Karagias. Now that's great and all.. but 2 years later.. Jamie Knoble (Formerly Jamie-San) showed up in WWF to feud with this man..
THE HURRICANE AKA Shane Helms.. Bringing the pain of the 3 Count vs. Jung Dragons feud back into our minds This post was written by Chris Johnston.. it was my first post, so if you have any comments about it, please email me at HWFPresJohnston@aol.com, whether good or bad..
