WWF Circa Mid-90s During an era where WWF Superstars were making so little money that they need a second job. You had Witch Doctors, Taxmen and enviromentalists, why not bring in a Racecar driver as well? Sparky Plugg was shown in a series of vignettes with him driving a car in a fake race. Sparky (what his friends call him, if he had any friends) even made his WWF Debut in the 1994 Royal Rumble Match, replacing the 1-2-3 Kid. Plugg was basically pushed as a mid card, although he was usually putting over the bigger talent.
Look at the big smile on his face. Too bad his character went NOWHERE fast, especially for a Race Car driver. I think he's a little happy about somethin else too. (wink wink nudge nudge.) Although Holly was deamed mainly as a Jobber, he DID get a taste of gold for a span of 24 hours with the "15 year old" 1-2-3 Kid (according to LT). From there he basically floated around a bit, portraying the gimmick Bombastic Bob Holly of the New Midnight Express (they shall be covered in due time) and finally landed in something good, Hardcore Holly. Hardcore What? Porn? animal sex? Hardcore pain for fans watching? He ain't smilin' no more, but he still has that.....funny feeling. So everyone, how do you like him now!?
