The scene opens up to Union Underground's "Across the Nation" and pyros explode all over at the sold out Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York for the very first Raw, a mere eight days after the Royal Rumble
Bradshaw, the Hardcore champion Chris Jericho, Trish and Stone Cold Steve Austin all sat at a table in the old APA locker room, playing poker together...Stone Cold is complaining that he can't win a damn hand and Bradshaw laughs and throws down another royal flush. Austin says dammit and throws the cards down, takes a big swig of beer, laughs, then poors some over Bradshaw's head, then tells him he's going to take a leak. Jericho laughs and tells Steve to hurry back cuz they still had a lot more beer to drink before their matches tonight! Trish, who had stripped down to her bra and panties, kissed Chris and Jericho said she wouldn't need luck in her match, and she would finally get her revenge on Molly and her friends for screwing them out of the title...Trish said that she would give the fans something Moly couldn't, 100% Stratusfaction
The scene focused backstage to a mild manored reporter named Gregory Helms interviewing Billy Kidman about his Cruiserweight Title match with the Hurricane tonight. Helms asked Kidman if he thought he could beat The Hurricane tonight. Billy told Helms that it wouldnt be a match, and that he would stomp him into the ground. Helms told Kidman that he didnt think that was an accurate assumption. Storm asked Kidman if he was nuts and walked off. Helms look surprised and said..."Man, what is up with that?"
Hurricane's music hits and he walks down the ramp. he gets in the ring and bounces of the ropes a couple times to warm up for his match. Billy Kidman's music then hits and he comes running down the ramp and slides into the ring and him and Hurricane begin to exchange right hands. The bell rings and and they contiune to fight back and forth. Hurricane kicks Kidman in the gut and throws him into the ropes, Kidman bounces back and Hurricane goes for a clothesline but Kidman ducks and kicks Hurricane in the back. Hurricane falls to his knees and Kidman drop kicks him on his head. Hurricane lays on his stomach and Kidman goes to the top ropes do give Hurricane a leg drop but someone runs down to the ring and pushes him off and Kidman lands on his shoulder. Hurricane gets up and puts the dragon sleeper on Kidman to make him tap, but Kidman reaches for the ropes and grabs them and hurricane lets go of the hold. Hurricane gets Kidman up by his knees and gets him ready to do a powerbomb. Hurricane gets Kidman in the air to drop him but Kidman lands on his feet and kicks Hurricane in the stomach and gives him a piledriver. Kidman gets up goes to the top ropes, the mystery person tries to knock him off again but Kidman jumps out of the ring onto the mystery person. Kidman gets back up on the top ropes and gives Hurricane the Shooting Star Press. He pins Hurricane 1...2...3
Vince was then shown in his office , talking on his cell phone to someone..He said that Jericho may have won the Royal Rumble, but there was still no chance of him becoming champion at Wrestlemania...Vince added that the night wasn't a total mess as his daughter defeated his once-mistress Trish for the Women's title...He told the person on the other line not to worry because he some special things planned for Jericho
Christian's music hits and the fans boo him. He walks down the ramp slowly staring at all the fans. He then walks up the steps and enters the ring. The Bradshaw's music hits and the fans go wild, they jump out of there seats and yell "Bradshaw, Bradshaw, Bradshaw"Bradshaw walks up the steps and enters the ring. He crosses Christian and looks at him and goes to the corner of the ring. He steps on the second turnbuckle and raises his right arm in the air. He is about to step off the turnbuckle but Christian comes over to Bradshaw and slams him to the mat. Christian starts stomping away at Bradshaw and then starts punching him in the face. Christian got Bradshaw up and threw him into the ropes, Bradshaw bounced back and Christian gave him a huge clothesline. Christian goes for the Unprietier and gets it, going for the cover on Bradshaw 1...2..No, Bradshaw kicked out before the ref for to the count of three. Christian then put Bradshaw in a sleeper and woulnd't let go. Bradshaw then started elbowing Christian in the chest and Christian let go of the hold. Bradshaw threw Christian into the ropes and and Christian come back, Christian went for the clothesline but Bradshaw ducked and gave him The Closeline from Hell and pinned him 1...2...3
Suddenly, the scene switches to a black background as Goldust's music hits and a series of movielike credits hit saying ''24 Karat Pictures presents a Shattered Dreams production''...The back of Goldust's blonde wig is shown as the Bizarre One softly sings the song from Pinnochio ''When you Wish Upon A Star''....Afterwads, Goldust whirls around doing his snarl/ bite thing and says that Chris Benoit's wish to become the Intercontinental champion is one wish that will not come true...And when the final curtain falls and the end curtain rolls, there was one man who's name would never be forgotten and that was the name of...Goldust
The camera switches to black and white as the nWo theme plays and the powerhouse of the nWo, Kevin Nash, made his way down the ramp looking at the fans with a sneer on his face. DDP was next to come out and then Shane O'Mac the three men got into the ring Nash quickly went after Shane O'Mac but was met with the foot of DDP who kicked him right in the face Nash fell down to the mat as Shane and DDP nodded their heads beginning to stomp Nash together, Shane lifted Nash hooking him same did DDP they lifted Nash into the air falling back with a double vertical suplex. Shane stood up lifting up Nash holding him for DDP. DDP smirked as he begin to use those karate kicks furiously on Nash, whose nose was beginning to bleed. Shane threw Nash onto DDP spearing Nash in the back who was holding onto DDP. He sent them both into the turnbuckle, Nash fell down on his back and DDP was still standing dazed in the turnbuckle. Shane ran at DDP who gave him the big boot knocking him down. But whaddya know? A mystery person wearing a ski mask made his way down the ramp holding a pipe in his hand just standing ringside making no motions to attack anyone. Shane got to his feet grabbing up Nash throwing him into the turnbuckle running towards DDP clotheslining him out the ring. He looked at Kevin Nash and kicked him in the midsection repeatedly throwing him into the ropes. Mystery person was distracted outside the ring while Kevin Nash reverses one of Shane's moves and gives Shane the Jacknife Powerbomb for the 1--2--3 Pin!. Nash is the New European Champion. Meanwhile outside the ring mystery person was furiously attacking DDP with the lead pipe. The Cameras went to a commercial break.
Stacy talked with Hunter in her locker room, excited about her Women's title shot against Stephanie and a bout their upcoming wedding...HHH said he was still upset about how Jericho robbed him of his Wrestlemania title shot with Trish's help, but not even Y2J could bring him down because he was happy to marrying Stacy...He kissed her and wishes her luck against his ex-wife, not she would need it
This diva match should indefinitely be considered as one of the best Female Tag-Team Elimination matches in WWE history. The match started with Trish Stratus and Ivory starting the match out for their sides. The match started with numerous submissions to one another, Ivory soon took control and threw Trish into the ropes only to be knocked down by a thunderous clothesline, burying Trish. Ivory taunts Trish and Trish rubs the back of her neck, Ivory grabs her hair and kicks her in the head numerous times until Ivory tags in Molly Holly. Molly bounces into the ropes, and Trish gets enough energy in her to bring Molly down flat on her face by a devastating soccer kick to the back of knee. Trish crawls over to her corner and tags in Lita. Lita whips her hair back as Molly gets to her feet, Lita plants her feet in between Molly’s head and succesfully plants a hurricanrana. Lita bounces into the ropes and dives right on top of Molly and pins. Sara runs into the ring to break up the 3-count and The Kat jumps in the ring and bitch slaps Sara! Sara falls out of the ring and The Kat goes after her. Trish Stratus sees Ivory on the side of the mat, she goes around and kicks her off and they start fighting outside the ring and they later bring it into the audience. Lita and Molly now rest in each of the turnbuckles and they slowly make it to each of their feet. Lita runs at Molly, clotheslines her and Lita struggles to make it to the top of the turnbuckle and stands on it . She waits what seems like eternity for Molly to get up.. Lita throws up her Hardy Gunns and jumps off, time stands still as Lita soars through the air, like an eagle with wings. Lita wraps her legs around Molly’s head and brings her down to the mat. "Lita-Ca-Rana!" is yelled by Jerry "The King" Lawler and Lita struggles to get on top of Molly’s body, and pins her. As Lita is celebrating, Sara Calloway runs into the ring, and low blows Lita. As Lita turns around, Sara lands an unbelievable Mike Tyson Left Hook to the Left side of Lita’s jaw, totally knocking her out, and pins Lita. Trish Stratus sees Sara celebrating and quickly runs back into the ring, and landing the Stratusfaction over Lita’s body. Trish Stratus quickly makes an old-school boy roll up clutch pin, and Trish Stratus pins Sara Calloway. Trish Stratus and The Kat enter the ring and they beckon Ivory to come into the ring Ivory starts running up the ramp to escape. But, Trish runs after her, grabs her hair, and throws her on the steel ramp, with the help of the Kat they drag her back into the ring. With Trish and Kat celebrating outside the ring, Ivory regains valuable adrenaline, that starts pumping like crazy. As the Kat enters the ring, she unexpectedlly turns around and receives a something a mere less than a "Clothesline from Hell", Ivory pins Kat..Trish runs in the ring and is too late to break up the pin. The Kat is eliminated, leaving only Trish Stratus and Ivory. Time stands still as both Divas look at each other, with utter chaos surrounding them. They charge at each other and gore each other’s stomachs…they both bounce back into the ropes and on to the ground! The referee waits three seconds and starts counting. 1..2..3..4..5..6..7...8..9..Trish gets to her feet. The groggy Trish Stratus has the crowd behind her and eerily drops her body upon the half beaten Ivory. The referee counts! 1..2..3! Trish, Lita, and The Kat win!
Bret Hart is show walking around backstage with a clipboard, getting signatures for his petition to become the #1 Contender for the Undisputed title when he bumps into the Undertaker himself, carrying his Undisputed title over his shoulder...Bret asks if Taker would sign his petitionand Taker agreed...Bret Hart then asked Taker if he could hold the shining new Undisputed title...Taker smirked and let him because he said it would the closest the Hitman would ever become to becoming the Undisputed champ...With that, Bret smacked Taker in the head with the clipboard and ran off with the title!
Stacy Keibler’s music comes on and Stacy walks slowly down the ring, showing off her long, sexy legs as the crowd (mainly the men) are cheering and going ecstatic. Stacy enters the ring with a faint smile on her face as Stephanie McMahon's music plays and the crowd starts taunting and booing Stephanie. She looks like she is about to cry, but she keeps the tears back and enters the ring. The match begins with Stephanie applying a headlock on Stacy, grabbing her hair and throwing her into the turnbuckle. Stephanie laughs at her and pins her up against the ropes and applies a chokehold on Stephanie. Stacy reverses it by also kicking her in her genitallia and Stacy lunges at her with a menacing, and womenly gore. Stacy Keibler hear most of the men chanting and she can’t quite make out what they are saying. Stacy then smiles and chokes Stephanie in between the ropes, and rips off her shirt! Stephanie starts crying, balling her eyes out, as Stacy jumps around the ring and the fans are going crazy. Stacy monkey tosses Stephanie to the middle of the ring and rips off Stephanie’s bra to find two, large, puppies! All of a sudden, Y2J's theme "My Sacrifice" hits and Stephanie is mortified, knowing that Jericho is here to interfere in her match...Y2J soon appears on the stage, smirking and crossing his arms as he watches her match, Stephanie screams at him across the arena! Wait! Suddenly, Stacy rolls Stephanie up and the ref counts 1...2...3..Stacy win the Women's Championship and Kid Rock's "Legs" as Stacy cries happily and celebrates in the ring! But the celebration is cut short, as Vince McMahon's music "No Chance" hits and then Vince says to everyone to wait just a damn minute...He then orders referee Mike Chioda to reverse the decision and declare the bout a No Contest to due to Jericho's interference, allowing Stephanie to retain her title! Stacy almost cries as her belt is taken from her and given back to Stephanie, who grins evilly as her music hits and she goes backstage
Bret walks backstage, smirking and slinging the title over his shoulder as if it was his, and stops to get some coffee...Suddenly, Shawn MIchaels comes out of nowhere and BAM! Sweet Chin Music into the side of Bret's head and Bret falls like a sack of potatos, spilling his coffee...HBK picks up the title and walks off down the hall, heading in the direction of Vince's office...JR and King both looked dazed and they don't quite no what just happened, wondering what HBK's beef is with Bret Hart
Chris Benoit's theme song "Whatever" by Our Lady Peace hits and the Canadian Crippler comes out wearing his blue and black tiger stripped tights, eager to start his rematch against Goldust in this Royal Rumble rematch for the IC title...Then, golden lights flood the arena as the Bizarre One comes to the ring, doing a snarl/bite for the camera as he walks by..He climbs into the ring, and gets up on the turnbuckle and takes off his robe, posing for the crowd...Benoit, wasting no time, gets up on the turnbuckle and gives him a big German Suplex all the way from the top rope to the canvas...Benoit pulls him up and gives him a big Belly to Belly Suplex for a 2 count. Goldust fights to his feet, kicking Benoit in the gut and DDTed him to the mat and Goldust tries to lock in a One Half Boston Crab, but Benoit counters into a rollup for a 2 count...The two men once again got up and exhanged rights, and then Benoit ducks under a clothesline, and gives him a series of 5 German Suplexes, wearing the Golden One out...A cover and a second two count...But, Goldust soon got his second win, battling back and set Benoit up for the Shattered Dreams...But Billy Kidman suddenly comes out to distract Goldust, but Benoit taps Goldust on the shoulder...Goldust goes for a clothesline on Benoit, but the Crippler grabs Goldust down and locks in the Crossface! Goldust tries to fight out, but can't and he taps out! The winner and new Intercontinental champion, Chris Benoit!
After Raw came back from a commercial, HBK walked into Vince's office and sets the title down on Vince's desk...Vince said he was still in a foul mood about Jericho almost costing Stephanie the Women's title tonight..He asked Shawn what he could do to Y2J that he hadn't already done...HBK asked if Y2J was the Hardcore champ and Vince replied yes...HBK suggested that Vince bring back the old 24/7 rules for the Hardcore title, and Jericho would be too bogged down with defending the Hardcore title to worry about his WM title shot...Vince said it was a brilliant idea, and as for Bret Hart, HBK would get him one on one tonight in a nWo lumberjack match as the crowd is heard cheering in the background
As the time ticks away, the first main event is about to take place: Stone Cold Steve Austin & Chris Jericho vs. Vince McMahon and & The Undertaker. The match starts with Stone Cold's entrance music blaring over the PA system, and the Texas Rattlesnake makes his way down to the ring. Chris Jericho's music follows behind Austin's and both contenders are in the ring. But wait! Where is Vince and the Undertaker? Austin and Jericho exchange looks of apprehension, and as both superstars turn around, they are ambushed by Vince and the Undertaker running through the audience and into the ring. Earl Hebner quickly signals for the bell to ring and the match starts. Vince and Undertaker quickly take control by Irish whipping Jericho into the ropes and clotheslining him, Stone Cold Steve Austin kicks both Vince and the Taker when they high-five each other and he DDT’s them on to the mat. Stone Cold bounces back, and has his back up against the ropes and he exits the ring onto the side where Jericho officially starts the match. Vince and Taker laugh at him and Taker goes outside the ring and Vince starts pounding on Chris Jericho's head. He pulls his hair back and throws him into the turnbuckle and kareems back, and dives right at Chris’s ribs, where Chris Jericho falls to the floor. Vince puts Chris in a front headlock and signals for a DDT, when Chris counters, grabs Vince’s knees, and makes him fall down and applies The Wall’s of Jericho! The Undertaker is in panic mode, so is Austin. The Taker comes out and Austin barges at him and misses as The Undertaker gives Jericho a big kick to the face as he falls right out of the ring and Austin gets enough adrenaline pumping to go right behind The Taker and apply a reverse neckbreaker and pins. 1..2..he kicked out! Austin has a look of bewilderment on his face and Vince scrambles to the turnbuckle to revive himself. Stone Cold exits the ring for a chair and comes back in. He doesn't realize the Undertaker is slowly getting to his feet. Stone Cold raises the chair above his head and smashes it on the Undertaker’s back…no effect! Austin backs off and nails the referee in the head! Stone Cold turns around and amazingly, The Undertaker grabs Austin’s neck and applies..The Chokeslam from Hell! Austin leaves a thunderous mark on the mat as the Taker pins..1..2..Interruption by Jericho! Chris Jericho then takes the Undertaker’s hand and throws him into the ropes, picks up the chair and smashes it over the Taker’s head. The referee is slowly getting to his feet when Vince McMahon gets up, retrieves the chair that dropped and smashes it over Austin's skull! The referee sees this and calls a DQ on Vince and The Undertaker! SCSA and Jericho win!
"Sexy Boy" hits the PA as the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels comes out to the ring to a huge pop for his first WWE match in over four years...Then "Hart Attack" hits and the Hitman comes out wearing his leather jacket and tradmark pink sunglasses as the nWo members surround the ring ready to start the Lumberjack match...Two of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot inside a wrestling ring are about to fight for more respect than anyone can ever imagine. The Heart Break Kid vs. Bret Hart match starts off with Shawn Micheals locking Bret Hart up in a head lock. He then brings Bret Hart down by tightening his grip into a sleeper hold. Bret Hart manages to elbow him in the stomach, and Shawn Micheals tends to himself as Bret Hart gets to his feet and delivers a destructive uppercut to Shawn Micheals jaw. As Bret Hart taunts the audience and gets up on the turnbuckle and cheers, Shawn Micheals gets on his feet and goes right behind Bret Hart and attempts a Super Back Drop off of the top of the turnbuckle. Shawn Micheals goes for the pin, 1..2..Kickout! Bret Hart gets the shoulder up and scrambles out of the way of Shawn Micheals. Bret bounces into the ropes, slides under Micheal and applies the neck breaking Full Nelson Hold. The crowd can hear Micheals struggle to keep consciousness, as he struggles to reverse the hold. Micheals manages to take Bret Hart down and he goes around him and reverses him hold into a reverse DDT. Micheals goes on the top rope and waits for Bret Hart to get up. Micheals jumps for a diving body press and Bret Hart catches Shawn Micheals and throws him out of the ring! Bret Hart jumps around the ring, what seems like for eternity. When Shawn Micheals has enough adrenaline to go back in the ring. Unexpectedly, Micheals taps Bret Hart’s shoulder, Hart turns around and Bang! The Heart Break Kid applies some Sweet Chin Music to Bret Hart's face and Micheals covers. 1..2..3! The HBK Wins!
Suddenly, the Bad Ass Billy Gunn hops over the Barricade followed by the Road Dogg and X-Pac...JR says why the hell are these former DX members doing here and interfering in an nWo Lumberjack match?! Road Dogg hits Billy Kidman with repeated jabs, juking and jiving as he does the Shake, Rattle and Roll...Billy Gunn does a big Fame-Ass-Er on Bradshaw....And then X-Pac hits the Big Show with an X-Factor facebuster...Then, they get into the ring with Nash, HHH and Michaels and they're all posed to fight, when they all smile, shake hands, hug and high five each other! What's this? HHH grabs Bret Hart from behind and holds him, as HBK dances a little bit and then hits Bret Hart once again with Sweet Chin Music! HBK says that Bret Hart was always the poison in the nWo and that he was not gonna wait around for Bret to drive it into the ground...And if he wasn't down with that, he could SUCK IT because DX was back and better than ever! Nash gives Bret Hart a final Jacknife Pwerbomb as D-Generation X does crotch chops and celebrates with their new members HHH, HBK and Nash as Raw goes off the air!
