John Acosta was discovered by Chairman Charles Evanoff at John Muir High School in Pasadena and showed Charles that he was interested in wrestling. Charles Evanoff showed John to a new and improved wrestling company, the XWF and John accepted the Chairman's invitation to be involved in the main events for the World Titles. When John received a new promo and look for the the company, he realized that he would be fighting against the Chairman himself! Charles Evanoff is Kaos, and he beat the hell out of John at The Dissection Pay Per View for the World Title. The two men finally came to the same page with one another after a short rivalry and John saw how the game was played. To be successful in this business, you have to make friends with top dogs.
Soon after The Dissection, John joined the nWo with Kaos and Jesse James. Immediately after John joined, he rivaled with Carlos, only to win the XWF Intercontinental and Cruiserweight Championships because the nWo had his back through the match. Kaos helped John injure Commander Carlos in the hardcore two falls match for both belts and Johnny The Bull became the Undiputed Middleweight Champion of the XWF.
After the Bloodlust Pay Per View, Johnny The Bull assisted Kaos in defending the XWF Tag Team Championships, due to Jesse James forfeiting his Tag Team belt. After successfully retaining the gold for the "nWo", Johnny failed to retain his XWF Cruiserweight Champioship belt when U.F.O. defeated him in a ladder match-up later in that night of the glorious Unmerciful Pay Per View. However, due to U.F.O.'s injury, Johnny regained the XWF Cruiserweight Championship and lost it again at the Death Row Pay Per View. Johnny The Bull also lost his XWF Light Heavyweight Championship belt at Death Row to The Hidden Assassin. Later that night, he put his XWF Tag Team belt on the line with Kaos against Tank and The Hidden Assassin and successfully retained the titles with Kaos. However, after the match he assisted "Badd Ass" Jesse James in assaulting Kaos, kicking Kaos out of the "nWo", and forcing Kaos to forfeit his Tag title to Jesse James so Johnny and Jesse could be the champions together, excluding Kaos from any part of it. I can assure you that Johnny The Bull will be looking at a major ass kicking come our next Pay Per View.
Johnny The Bull still to this day pisses off "Badd Azz" Jesse James because he became the first-ever Grand-Slam Champion of the XWF.
