~~THANKSGIVING RECIPES~~

Hi there, and welcome to my page featuring my favorite Thanksgiving Holiday Recipes! These are dishes that have made up our holiday meal since I was a little girl. I hope you find some that you have never tried before or a variation of one you like but it is prepared different. Try them and enjoy!!

~~GLAZED HAM~~

Get a ham according to the size you need. using a sharp knife, score the top in criss/cross fashion on top so that it looks like diamonds; take some cloves and place in the criss/cross areas on the top of the ham. Make a glaze, to taste and consistencey of syrup, using brown sugar, pineapple juice, orange or peach marmalade. During the last hour of cooking your ham, pour the glaze over the ham and put drained, crushed pineapple on the top of ham; baste the ham every 10 mins. by spooning the glaze over the ham. If you get a cooked ham, then just put the glaze and pineapple on top and bake ham for an hour to brown and heat.

~~CORN PUDDING~~

Mix together:
1 can cream-style corn & 1 can whole kernal corn
3 TBL. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. salt, 3 TBL. margerine, 3 eggs, well beaten.
Mix together well and pour into a slightly greased casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for at least 45 minutes or until lightly browned on top. Enjoy!

~~GLAZED YAMS~~

drain the liquid off a large can of yams; add brown sugar and pineapple juice to the liquid. Put yams in a casserole dish and pour the mixture over them. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees until heated well; put mini marshmallows over them and place back in oven until the mallows are lightly browned. This was even eaten by small children!

I also fix green beans, stuffing, turkey gravy, and cranberry sauce but for the matter of convenience, I use the canned or mixes for each thing. They still taste yummy!

~~DESSERTS~~

~~OUT OF THIS WORLD CAKE~~

Melt 2 sticks margarine, add 1 pound of graham cracker crumbs, 4 eggs, 2 cups sugar, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 cup crushed pineapple,(drained but save the juice)If juice does not equal 1 cup, add enough milk to make 1 cup. Mix all ingredients well and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

~~FROSTING~~
1/2 box powder sugar and 1 stick margarine. Mix and spread over cake; top with remaining pineapple.
