COLOURS

The world is full of colour and everyday we witness those colours define the world we live in and the people who inhabit it. You probably don’t even realize what an impact colour has on our lives and our perceptions. If you saw a person walk by with a bright yellow T-shirt, you would probably think “wow, that person is outgoing, friendly, spontaneous”. Now, if that same person walked by wearing gray, you probably wouldn’t even notice them. Just as colours define our personalities, each colour has a personality of its own. Below are a list of meanings for the most common colours. These are of course, yours to do with as you please. The most common use would be to use them for candle magick, so I will soon be creating a link to a page on candle magick from this page. Blessed be!

RED

  • Passion, strength, health, vigor, courage, energy, love, career, goals, sexuality

    • BLUE

  • Calmness, health, tranquility, wisdom, creativity, patience, protection, astral projection, dreams

    • GREEN

  • Finance, prosperity, fertility, luck, growth, physical healing, abundance

    • YELLOW

  • Attraction, persuasion, divination, intelligence, breaking mental blocks, learning, confidence, charm, protection

    • ORANGE

  • : Success, attraction, justice, ambition, business, goals, career, encouragement, adapibility

    • PINK

  • Friendship, honor, love, morality, peace, nurturing, romance

    • PURPLE

  • Spiritual power, psychic ability, ambition, third eye, serious physical healing, power, independence, success, divination

    • SILVER

  • Divination, astral protection, Goddess, dreams, intuition, telepathy, clairvoyance

    • WHITE

  • Purity, sincerity, protection, peace, spirtuatlity, consecration, divination, clairvoyance, innocence

    • BLACK

  • Protection, repelling, binding, absorption, meditation, banishing

    • There are also colours that correspond to astrological signs. By using an almanac you can figure out what astrological sign the moon’s in for that particular time and therefore use that corresponding colour in you rituals and spells. There are a lot of things that you can do with colour… just get creative.

  • Libra: Pink

  • Sagittarius: Purple
