I've decided to write this page because I've had people asking me about myself. I didn't actually think that anyone would care, but I guess some of you out there want to know who the mind behind the website is... so here goes.
My real name is not SilverMoon (as you may have already guessed). I go by that name because I don't feel comfortable giving my legal name over the web. I will stick to my guns on this one, so just call me SilverMoon (or Silver).
Much to people's surprise, I'm only 22. I'm still a university student right now. I attend WLU in Ontario. I'm majoring in Business and I'll be finished in May of 2002. I'm not really your typical business student... being Pagan and all. I do consider myself an Arts student trapped in a Business students body! I tend to get along better with my Philosophy, Psychology and Anthropology friends. (Hi to all of you who are reading this!)
I've been a practicing Pagan since grade 10 (so about six years). A girl in my Economics class was Pagan and I ended up borrowing a book from her... To Ride A Silver Broomstick by Silver RavenWolf. Needless to say I was very interested. I finally found something that made sense and that I believed. Years of reading, practice and hard work came after that... yes religion is hard work (when you actually do it right). But I've enjoyed every minute of it.
A little bit about the non-pagan side of me. I love to read. I don't really get to do it much during school because I spend all my time "trying" to learn about the business world. As you can probably tell from my website, I also practice Yoga, meditation and divination. My favourite food in the whole world is ice cream. I don't care what flavour as long as its on a spoon heading into my mouth!! I also love hiking, camping and working on this wonderful website (when I get the chance).
When I grow up I hope to work for a Not For Profit organization. One thing I have learned from taking Business is that I don't want to work for a company that only cares about the All Mighty Buck! There are more important things in life than money. Don't get me wrong... you do need it to survive, but I don't think you need it to be happy. Most Not For Profit organizations are not out to make money. Instead they exist to help people, the environment, animals and the world as a whole. If any of you are potential employeers out there is the Canadian region... I'm your women.
Thanks for reading about me. If you have actually gotten this far, than I haven't bored you to death. If you have any other questions or I just intrigued you, my e-mail address is below... feel free to drop me a line. I'm really quite friendly :-)
On another note, I am the President of Wilfrid Laurier University's oncampus Pagan club. If anyone lives in the Waterloo area and are interested in coming out to a meeting, I'll put the website address below.
Society For Esoteric ExplorationFinally... if you want to see what I'm up to, I have an online journal which I write in almost everyday. Please feel free to take a look.
