STONES AND HERBS

Herbs and Stones are the most common form of magickal correspondence. Before you begin to read this page… REMEMBER that the only you can decide what works best for you. These lists are a compilation of my own experiences, books and other people’s websites. Although it says that peridot may help you sleep better at night, it may not work for you. Don’t take what I have written here as set in stone. EXPERIMENTATION is the best key. The information below is just a guide that you can follow. From here you can build your own uses and intentions for stones and herbs. HERBS

Herbs are easy to use and easy to find. You can purchase them in a grocery or specialty stores or grow your own. Many people, including myself, prefer to grow their own. I thought it might be difficult to grow my own herbs, considering I’m a student and my house doesn’t even have grass, never mind a garden. Luckily I worked at a garden centre for part of a summer and after getting some advice from one of my fellow employees I decided to grow my herbs indoors. All you need is some seeds, a planter of some kind, water and a little bit of sunlight and you’re all set. Once I have a garden of my own I will plant them outside, but for now this will do perfectly.

    Stones are similar to herbs in that they are relatively easy to find. The one problem with gem stones is that unless you are in an area where you can find them on your own, you have to purchase them and that can become somewhat expensive. When you purchase stones you must remember to cleanse and consecrate them before using them.
