Zirconia started to talk to Lana, but you could tell she was annoyed. Her eyes were very red. I decided not to hang around. I left just to spite Zirconia. I was about to walk outside when Lana mentioned that it was raining. I looked at her and said, "Does it look like I care?" I left Dermott with them. When I got out there, I pulled the hood of my cloak up. I propped next to the mast. I started to try something new. Instead of just seeing out of Dermott's eyes I was going to hear what he heard. I started to listen. I heard Lana mention something about the three. Then I heard Maeve ask where I was. Let's just say I was grounded to my room for the night. I can't stand the thought of new students. If one of them even tries to touch my sisters they are going to deal with me. I am not going to let anyone harm my sisters. I was not strong enough to stop the person who took my parents. I couldn't save my girlfriend Crystal from her horrible fate. But I will not let any harm come to my sisters. Lucky for me they have sworn not to tell anyone about Crystal's accident.
It is now midnight. Lucky for me everyone is asleep. I am going to the deck to think. As I was walking by Zirconia's door she said telepathically, "I know you were think about Crystal. That has been over four years ago. You can show emotion now." With that she went to sleep. I went to the deck. I went to the crow's nest to think. By accident. I fell asleep there. When I woke up. I saw that we were at the dock where we were meeting the three.

"Lana! Wake up! We're here!" said Maeve ever so cheerfully.
"How can you be such a morning person this early in the morning?" I asked grumpily. "It runs in the family." was her reply. "Anyway, Eli and Zirconia are already awake!!! We are at the dock, and the three should be arriving shortly. I want to make a good impression on them, so please put on your black gown, ok?" Maeve asked. "K. I'll be down in a little bit." As I was getting dressed, I got a message from Eli saying that breakfast was going to be served soon, so I had better hurry. 'I'll be right down.' I replied.
After breakfast, we unloaded the ship and sat down under a shady tree in one of the city's many parks. "The three and their family are approaching." Maeve informed us. All of the sudden, a small blond boy came running up to Eli and started to say something. "Mackenzie Hanson! You come here right this minute!" shouted a middle age woman. "No!" replied the little boy. The lady walked right over to where Mackenzie was standing, grabbed him by the hand, and stormed away. "That was the mother of the three." said Maeve calmly. "Oh, OK. Should I go get them?" asked Eli. "No, I want to! fought Zirconia. "We can all go." said Maeve.

I sighed. For some reason Maeve always came up with a compromise, but it never helped me in any way. Oh well. Eli was giving me a strange look, and I knew he thought I was mad because my eyes were red. But I wasn't. I smiled, then blinked and looked right at him. He gave me a small smile back when he saw my eyes were purple. I started walking behind Lana.
Lana suddenly stopped, but I was deep in thought about the three so I didn't notice and ran right into her. "Geez, Zirc! Please watch where you're going!' she exclaimed. I looked down at her, and she saw my eyes. "Oh, you were thinking. Never mind then." She was holding back laughter. Maeve turned and gave us a look. "I want to make a good impression, so please behave." Eli looked at us, then at Maeve. When she turned away he crossed his eyes. We all held back our laughter. It was good to see Eli joking around again. He never did much of anything except think since Crystal....
"Eli?" I asked him silently. "Please chill out. We are much more powerful than the three. They can't do me any harm. I am the Sorceress of Fire." Eli paused slightly. "I know Zirconia. But it's hard to forget." he said back. "And how did you know I was worried about it?" I smiled. "I am a well trained sorceress." I simply replied.
Lana laughed suddenly. "Nice one Zirconia!" she said to me. She must have been channeling in on our conversation. "Lana!" we both exclaimed. She did stuff like this all the time. It was part of her character, so we never really minded. "It's not like you were talking about anything important." she pointed out. Eli was still quiet. "We better be quiet. Maeve's looking...."
"Children, until we start to teach the three how to speak telepathically, don't use it as much as normal. Most of the time it is the only way you speak, I know. But speak normally for their sake." she said aloud. I glanced at Eli, who was staring off in the distance to where a large family was standing, holding their bags. The three, and their family. I put on my best smile, and made myself happy.
