are the greatest
My papaw Bob his brothers Hal and Frank
This page is in memory of my Grandpa.
If you happen to have known him you
would have known what a really good
person he was. He was the joy
of my life.
And how i miss him so much. Not a day goes by that he's
not on my mind. My grandmother
as of Dec 31, 98 went to join
him in heaven. I know they are fishing on
the river of Jordon. They both
loved to fish. I remember when
they over turned the boat and the
only thing that they lost was a
bottle of pepsi.
My grandfather was one of the
finest banjo players of southern
West Virginia. When he was young he had his
own band. But over the years he
never quit playing the banjo,
guiter, or the fiddle, and he also played
the mandolin. So this is the things he loved
fishing, and music. And he loved
a good joke. And most of all my Mawma.
So here papaw this is your page.
This is Papaw in his early years his brother Hal and my great grandfather George and in the background with the long beard is my great-great uncle Dyke Garrett.
Mawma "Ida" Violets was her favoriate flower Today is July 4th 1999 which happenes to be one of the saddest days of my life. I enter into my grandparent home for the last time. I could see my grandpa sitting in his chair playing the banjo. My grandmother in the kitchen cooking one of her wonderful meals. There will be no more like that until me meet again. The home place has been sold. So i shall never enter thoses doors again. That chapter of my life just done a final closing. My homepage
