BACKSTREET BOYS SET BLACK AND BLUE WORLD TOUR PLANS

Although the Backstreet Boys will deliver their Black & Blue in time for holidays, the group won't hit the road in support of it until January, when the quintet will kick off a world tour.

Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean said on Friday (Oct. 27) that the group will launch its world tour January 23 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The date will mark the start of an eight-week North American run.

The group will then take a two-week break before hitting Asia and Australia. The Backstreet Boys also plan to play Europe and South America before returning to the States for another six-week run. McLean said the entire tour is likely to run through November or December.

"It's finally going to be a true world tour," McLean said. "We've been saying we were going to do a world tour for the last two years, but we end up hitting the U.S., Canada and Europe, and that's about it as far as we go. This time we're taking this tour the whole way around the world."

Black & Blue is scheduled to hit stores November 21. The group has already given fans a taste of the album with the ballad "Shape of My Heart," and McLean promises that more up-tempo material awaits on the new LP.

HAPPY BSB DAY! The mayor of Orlando declared October 7 Backstreet Boys day a few years ago, and I had to wish y'all a happy BSB day. I saw clips from the 'Shape Of My Heart' video off of Access Hollywood last night. Howie looked soo cute! His hair is long and straight. The cover for the new album will not have their picture on the front and the new tour will not be done in the round. Well that's all for now. Laterz!

BACKSTREET BUNKER!! *LOL* I guess I had better fill you in. On TRL yesterday, they announced that there were 3 BSB Fans going to be put in a bunker all weekend. If they could surive the weekend, they will get to meet BSB on Monday when they make their appearance on TRL. I'm sooo psyched about that!

I WANT IN THAT BACKSTREET BUNKER! I mean geez, I could handle being in a bunker for one weekend if that meant when I got out, I got to meet A.J. McLean. I'm making a tape and sending it to MTV and telling them that I want in the next Backstreet Bunker or any other crazy stunt they can come up with. Well, I'll be back with more news later. KTBSPA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN! Did y'all watch ET tonite? Dang, A.J.'s got one wicked crib!! Funny thing is, he doesn't know how to work all the stuff for the movie theater inside his house. FYI, the Making The Video for 'Shape Of My Heart', will be on October 16th @ 4:30 pm. They'll also be performing at the European music awards or whatever they're called, I can't remember! More details later.

Well I guess you've all heard "Shape Of My Heart," by now, I love it!! I've heard that the concept of the new video has to do with a theater in relation to the 'played my part' thing in the chorus. Sounds interesting to me :) Well until more news pops up..ktbspa!

ALBUM NEWS!!! As of recent news today, the new Backstreet Boys album is out on November 21st and is titled "Black and Blue." The first single from the album should be released on radio September 28, 2000 and is titled "Shape Of My Heart." The single is scheduled to be in stores on October 23rd.

You knew it would happen, it was inevitable, after all the boys are normal. Brian recently wed actress LeighAnne Wallace on September 2nd at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

I would like to wish them both the best in their marriage. I'm sure they'll be together for a long time!

Okay, now on to more news. It seems that new album titles are floating around. I've been told "Black and Blue" is a possible album title.

There will likely be a 50 city tour, to support the new album, at the beginning of next year. The dates will be announced in January and shows will begin in March.
