Oh! I have a visitor! Welcome, my name is Taleria. Do come in and sit for a spell. I was left at the mouth of the Blue Dragon's Lair and Valler adopted me. I'm a member of the Azurnath Clan, a clan of Silver Blue-Fire breathers. We're a very rare breed of dragon also known as the Blood-Tear Dragons. I was named after a very special person from the clans history. Want to know why they're know as the Blood-Tear Dragons and where I got my name? Do sit down by the blue fire and make yourself comfortable, I shall tell you the tale passed down from generation to generation in my clan....

Long ago there was a dragon by the name of Shazira. She was the devoted watcher of a castle in the realm of Azurnath. The inhabitants of this castle were the master, Galvasan; a mighty sorcerer..his bride, Ferlandia; mistress of the sky dwellers...and there 2 children; Tecasia and Telaria. Galvasan found Shazira in a cave, under a waterfall, near his castle home when he was but an apprentice. She had been terribly wounded by a dragon slayer out for the price of her hide. Galvasan fealt pity for the creature and decided to nurse her back to health. In the years that followed the two come to be life long friends and cared for each other very much.

A few years later, Galvasan's mentor and teacher died...leaving him the rightful ruler of the realm. Galvasan appointed Shazira as the eternal guardian of his realm, for he knew that she would protect him till death (and he the same for her). Many years went by and Galvasan, longing for the company of his own kind, decided to take to wife Ferlandia; a beautiful woman who's people dwelled so far up in the mountains it seemed that they lived in the sky itself (hence the name was given "the sky dwellers"). The couple were very happy together and soon Ferlandia gave birth to the mighty sorcerer's twin children. Shazira loved the whole family dearly, as if they were all her own children (for she had never had any) and watched over them closely, never letting her guard down...but once.

One day, Galvasan went out into the forest to meditate and collect herbs for his spells. He told Shazira to carefully guard his family, which she always did anyway; but Shazira had an uncertain feeling on this day and begged her master not to go. Thinking that she was merely being foolish he went on his journey. What Galvasan didn't know was that his dragon friend was not merely being foolish...but telling the truth. Something bad was going to happen this day, something that would reshape the lives of everyone.

Shazira was not fond of speaking of herself. She had lived a very painful life and didn't want to dwell upon the past. She was originally from a clan of dragons that dwelled deep within the earth's core...where sunlight never shined, in caves too cold for any mortal. These were a rare and mystic breed of dragon who breathed blue fire. Beautiful creatures who's scales held a silvery shimmer, these dragons were among the most intillectual dragons of the species. They were masters of the arts: literature, music, art...and magic! It was said that Merlin himself tought these fine creatures the dark secrets so to protect them for all eternity. But something so terrible that even Merlin could not have predicted was to happen...war. A war ravaged the land so completely that everyting was comsumed in it. The mystical dragons, that Merlin cherished so dear, were caught in the middle of the war and were destroyed utterly. Only 5 dragons survived, Shazira was among them. The remaining dragons of her clan split up in all directions in the hopes of finding a land of peace so that they may start anew. But there beauty wasn't only admired by Merlin...the remaining dragons of a once thriving race were hunted for there silvery skin and displayed as trophies for all to see. Shazira alone was the last of her clan...and deep in her heart she knew that she was the last, for her soul died a little bit for every dragon that was killed.

Shazira had loved and accepted Galvasan and his family as her own. And they loved her in return. But on that faitful day, while Galvasan was on his journey, their castle was attacked. The numbers were great and having Shazira there only added to the onslought...for she was the last of the great Silver Blue-Fire Breathers. Every soldier wanted her hide...but the family would not let them have her. The soldiers killed Ferlandia and her children to take the dragon. Shazira, using all her strength and magick, fought endlessly to save her loved ones...but their numbers were too great...and the family she knew was lost. Hearing the great battle, even from the thicket of the forest, Galvasan quickly headed home. Together, through might and magick, Galvasan and Shazira destroyed the army completely. When Galvasan learned that his beloved wife and children had been destroyed his heart filled with a blackness...an anger that could not be contained. He blamed Shazira for betraying him, for letting his family die. Knowing that he would be eternally alone he cast a wicked spell to damn Shazira of the same lonliness that he would know for the rest of his life. Knowing that she was the last of her clan, he bartered a deal with the dark one to aid him in his spell...and left Shazira unable to ever have any children, assuring that her race would never again walk the planet. Then he banished her from his realm never to return. Shazira wandered around till night fall then took refuge in a cave under a waterfall...the same cave where Galvasan had first found her. Knowing that she was forever alone, Shazira cried. But it was her sould that cried...tears of blood. Two tears....one for each family that she had lost, her dragon family and her human family. Something that, not even the darkest spell could touch, was the love she had fealt for her families. And so, when her tears hit the ground they turned into blood-red eggs.

Shazira had two offspring, one for each family that she had lost. She named them Nyx and Erebus, whose names mean "Night" and "Death", for they were born out of the Night and the Death of her families. Shazira and her children lived together for many years, hidden, deep within the mountains. But Shazira had grown old and weak. When she died, her children, like her, cried over the loss...and they each cried two bloody tears that turned into eggs when they hit the ground. And when they died their children cried two tears, and so on and so on down through the ages...so Shariza's clan wasn't destroyed. They flourished through the power of the deepest love, which even the darkest magic couldn't dispell. And they soon became named "The Blood-Tear Dragons".
