I'm much in love with mortal blood

the gods do disagree

'cause he's of lower standard

and I am pedigree.

They just don't seem to understand

that love will know no bound;

it took a goddess from the sky

and placed her on the ground.

But what could possess such power

to dry up all the seas,

to make a mortal man a god

and put a goddess on her knees?

No god nor goddess in heaven

such power do they possess

to equal the intensity of love

or the power of a caress.

But the gods would not hear of it;

and when I was forced to choose

the decision for me was easy,

and my goddess powers I did loose.

So I gave up eternity for love,

and during my mortal birth

I relinquished my place in the heavens

only to find it again on earth.~
