John Abner and Rosa Blankenship Ellis.
Mr. Ellis was a retired coal miner from Westmoreland Coal Co.,
Survivors include his wife, Frances Ellis of Hewett;
daughters, Lecia Kidd of Foster, Sherrie
Prince of Quinland, Rose Green of Hewett;
sons, Donald Ellis of Hewett, Ronald Ellis of
Hewett, Carl Ellis of Hewett, Randy Ellis of Dry
Creek; sisters, Pauline Tackett of Hewett and
Ludena Stollings of Vinton, Ohio; 10
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

the third son born to the late Earnie Lee Bragg and Cora Ester Bias Bragg
He was employed by Spruce River Coal Company for 28
years and the coal mines were his livelihood,
being a supporter and lifelong member
of the United Mine Workers, serving as the union
president for Local No. 656.
Surviving him is his wife Nadine Ball Bragg,
and together they have had five
children, Sue Ann Zickefoose and Mary Harless of
Madison, W.Va., Gary of Florida, John Edmond
of North Carolina and Jacquelin Bragg of
Charleston. Ten grandchildren and
nine great-grandchildren also survive him
