Recent News
Ah, another year has passed so quickly, lol. I am NOT working anymore. It will soon be a year since I quit the rat race, lol. To help fill my time, I have been doing more volunteer work for our local mueseum, The West Kern Oil Museum located in Taft, CA.
It can be rewarding to help the community maintain this organization, but alos lots of work. I try to help with the designing of new exhibits, manage their computers and do whatever else needs to be done. It's a great place to look around and we get visitors from all over the world here in our little town.

Going Places
Alas, this has been a slow year for us as far as traveling goes anyway. We did manage to squeeze in a trip to Las Vegas last November during Thanksgiving time. My dh, Charles had not been there in over 20 years, so was quite a treat for him. We have friends who live there and help us sightsee. Really nice to have you own personal tour guides, lol. Of course, I was luckier than dh as i got to go to Las Vegas 3 times in 2000. In February, six of us chatters got together for a meet. and then in October, I went to the Stamp Expo they have annually. All good excuses to go visit with sasha and Michael!
I hope to get some pix to add to my pages too.
Meeting Crafters
This yea, I got to meet Jensimo from Indiana. She traveled to California with her dh on business. While he was working, she got to play some.
We met for lunch and went shopping at Michael's. We have a nose for sniffing out a craft store, lol. She is a lovely young woman and I enjoy chatting in Craft Planet with her.
