Fibromyalgia patients not only have to deal with the disease but with ignorant medical "professionals" and well meaning but very confused friends and family members.
Personally I find dealing with family and friends to be the hardest. When they start making remarks about how you used to do this or that or how you'd get better if you'd get up and do something it only makes you feel worse about yourself than you already do.
The moral of the story is that you will have to educate your family and friends about this disease or you will have to stay away from them.
Stress absolutely drives this disease crazy and is to be avoided at all costs.
Since my diagnosis wih Fibro I have also been told that I may have Multiple Sclerosis. So I will add MS links to this page as well as links on CFS, Tri-Geminal Neuralgia, Restless Leg Syndrome, and Arthritis. You can have more than one of these conditions at the same time.
