The Long Road

Life started out hard with too much destruction, hate, violence,
Pain, confusion, sadness and distrust,
To crazy to accept.
Now secretes are out, memory is gained and I changed.
New skills are learned.
Life has new meaning, filled with hope, worth, love,
Understanding, trust, honest.
Goals are still needed,
Strength to be gained,
But I have come a long way.
Life did not change.
I did.
