THE ABC'S OF BECOMING A CHRISTIAN

Most people feel that you need to be a theologian to understand what it means to have a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father. I know I did at first. The truth is God's plan of salvation is so simple a child can understand it.

Let me share the ABC's of Salvation with you.

A. Accept the fact that everyone is a sinner and needs to be saved.

The Bible says that man has a problem called SIN. Sin is when we don't allow God to have total control of our lives. If we aren't obedient to God's laws then we are guilty of sin. Therefore, we are subject to the punishment from God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Rom. 3:23

B. Believe that God loves you and that Jesus died for you and God raised him from the dead.

He offers us salvation even though we don't deserve it. He wants to save us. When Jesus died on the cross, God provided a way for us to be saved. We must repent of our sins and put our trust in Jesus Christ.

"For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Matt. 9:13

C. Come to Jesus and yield control of your life to Him as your Lord and Savior and you will be saved.

"That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved." Rom:10-9

ONCE YOU ARE SAVED:

Tell your Pastor or Christian friend about your decision.

Be baptised and unite with a Bible preaching church.

Grow in your walk with the Lord through prayer and Bible study.
