WELCOME TO ALMOST HEAVEN

WELCOME! I see you made it! How was the trip getting here? Some days those clouds can be a little rough traveling on. You've just entered "Almost Heaven" but all the angels are busy right now. So pull up a cloud and rest awhile and get to know us.

We are the Wagner Family from that WILD and WONDERFUL state of West Virginia, better known as the "Almost Heaven" state. It's nice that you dropped by for a visit. Let me introduce my family to you. I'm Patricia and my husband's name is Barry. We had a cocker spaniel, Precious, who shared our home. She was always getting underfoot of the angels!

Barry and I grew up in WV. I was raised in the northern part of the state in a university town called Morgantown. Barry was raised as far south without crossing the state line in Bluefield. After graduating from high school I decided to attend West Virginia University but decided I wanted to see the world. So I joined the Air Force and got to see Shrevesport, La.

Barry joined the Navy after graduating. He also wanted to see the world and he did...the world of Vietnam. After leaving the service we both ended up in Bluefield, WV where we eventually met and fell in love and got married. We bought a home in Princeton, WV and began to raise our family.

Barry went to work for the telephone company where he's been for the last 30 plus years. I worked for the Mercer County 4-H Extension Office under the EFNEP Program. I was teaching nutrition in the grade schools and helping with 4-H Camps in the summer until I found out I had MS.

We are members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Princeton. There is always something happening at Immanuel so we can find plenty to keep us busy. If you're ever in Princeton stop by and visit Immanuel Baptist Church.

With so many of our friend's marriages ending in divorce today, we realized the importance of having God a part of our marriage. With God being the third party in our marriage, we have been able to face many difficultities. The MS alone could have destroyed a good marriage but with God's help we have been able to face each situation and come out the winner.

Now that you know a little about Barry and me you need to catch the next cloud and meet out children. Have a fun and safe trip.
