    NATIONAL STEINBECK AWARDS BANQUET
    The Award is presented by the National Historic Route 66 Federation with the support of the John Steinbeck Foundation. It is named for the Pulitzer Prize winning author of the "Grapes of Wrath". The Steinbeck Award is presented to a person deemed to have contributed significantly to the preservation of the route. The banquet will be preceded with the "Route 66 Authors and Artists" Reception, July 21, 2001 at the New Mexico State Fair Grounds. 
    SUMMERFEST 2001
    On July 21, 2001, one of Albuquerque's most popular events will be dedicated to Route 66. The Albuquerque outdoor venue at Civic Plaza will showcase Route 66 entertainment, nostalgia and more!
