From the stages of the Mickey Mouse Club, alongside other such names as Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell, and members of 'N Sync, to famous theaters in far off countries, the midriff-showing teen idol has given the world what she has kept a secret for seventeen years... And is it good or what?!?!?!
The only question left is, "Can the album be as good as the first three singles?" Well, of course it can! And here's just the place to read everything you want to know about it.
The sixteen track album (including
the four bonus tracks), is a must have for any Britney fan. The CD is full of swanky tunes for everybody. I had very few disappointments, these being the fact that Britney doesn't write any of her songs (where's the talent here?), 15 of the 16 songs are about love (where's the creativity? We do get sick of this, you know), and there is too much of a resemblance to
Mariah Carey, especially on those sweeter ballads. But other than those few things, this album is a great choice for all those dance parties, or simply just to sing along to after a hard day at school!
Although a lot of the tracks weren't up to my standards, I gained much enjoyment from listening to them... over and over and over again! Here's
what I thought:
??? ...BABY ONE MORE TIME - 8/10
??? (YOU DRIVE ME CRAZY) - 7/10
??? SOMETIMES - 7/10
??? SODA POP - 6/10
??? BORN TO MAKE YOU HAPPY - 4/10
??? FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY BROKEN HEART - 4/10
??? I WILL BE THERE - 5/10
??? I WILL STILL LOVE YOU - 4/10
??? DEEP IN MY HEART - 6/10
??? THINKIN' ABOUT YOU - 5/10
??? E-MAIL MY HEART - 3/10
??? THE BEAT GOES ON - 6/10
Bonus Tracks:
??? I'LL NEVER STOP LOVING YOU - 4/10
??? AUTUMN GOODBYE- 9/10
??? ...BABY ONE MORE TIME (Davidson Ospina Radio Mix) - 6/10
??? ...BABY ONE MORE TIME (Boy Wunder Radio Mix) - 6/10
From the driving funk of ...Baby One More Time and Crazy to the sweet melodies of the laid back I Will Still Love You and the funky reggae beats of Soda Pop, this album is probably not as good as everyone is making it out to be, but I know I certainly enjoyed it and any Britney fan will too! She is sure to liven up your world with this irresistible collection of great
songs found on ...Baby One More Time.

Eating Disorders
by Steffani-Amber
Hi! I'm doing this article on eating disorders because
it's a very big problem that many teens, women and even
guys suffer from. I'll focus mostly on anorexia,
bulimia, and overeating. First of all, for anyone who
doesn't know, I'll start by explaining what these are.
These are 3 main kinds of eating disorders.
1) Anorexia Nervosa - Probably the most common eating
disorder among teens. This involves the person
starving themselves for days or eating under 500
calories a day because of fear of getting fat.
2) Bulimia - This disorder involves the person bingeing
(eating too much food uncontrollably in a short period
of time) and then purging (self-induced vomiting by
sticking fingers in throat or taking laxatives).
However some bulimics don't purge after bingeing, but
starve themselves for days or excercise obsessively.
3) Overeating - The least common disorder, but still a
lot of people suffer from it. It involves the person
bingeing uncontrollably.
The reason for most eating disorders is a desire to
gain control on life.
How do you know if a person has an eating disorder? People with eating disorders often show these signs:
Anorexia Nervosa - Fear of becoming fat, distorted body
image, excessive dieting, starvation, regular
weighing, loss of menstruation period, withdrawal from
others, frequent mood changes, wearing baggy clothes to
hide weight loss.
Bulimia- bingeing, fasting after binges, may chew food
without swallowing, near normal weight--may be slightly
above average, secretive eating, complaints of sore
throats and muscle aches, depression.
Overeating - very much overweight, dieting and
failing, sneaking or hiding food, eating when
stressful/happy/sad, anxiety, wearing baggy clothes to
hide weight gain.
If you notice any of these signs in someone you
know, don't wait to tell!!! Tell someone: a school
counselor, doctor, teacher, or parents. If you are the
one with an eating disorder, get help immediately eating
disorders can be deadly!
Judy Garland(Frances Ethel
Gumm) was a singer and actress, best known for her role as Dorothy in the "Wizard of Oz." She had anorexia and
died from an overdose of pills. She took two kins of pills: benzedrine and sleeping pills. She was using benzedrine to maintain her weight, which gave her trouble sleeping, so she took sleeping pills. Then, she got addicted to both, and later died.
Before ending this,
I just want to say that teens today shouldn't want to have
role models like Calista Flockhart and Kate Moss, because they represent a small number of terribly thin but still healthy people, which is unattainable for some. Healthy
role models are Drew Barrymore, Michelle Williams and
Kate Winslet.
Embarassing Moments
by Puddle Duck
"Patty" spent an evening at an amusement park with some of her friends.
They all decided to go on a roller coaster. Patty sat with a really
cute guy that she didn't know. When everyone was strapped in and the
ride started to go up the first big hill, Patty realized that she had
to go to the bathroom. She then remebered that she had a thick pad on,
so she just went ahead and "relieved" herself. She then remembered that
she was wrong and she was wearing a tampon. The worst part was that it
was on the guy, too.
Ok, I think I am going to change this a little. Each month I will give
you a different embarassing moment to write about. Like next month I
want your most embarassing baby sitting moments. So if you have any,
please send them to me at kezal20@yahoo.com
