This paper project once completed will result in five free standing three dimentional buildings.
This paper craft project is intended for children of all ages.
Kids under the age of 8 will require some help in the constuction of each house.
Please read all the instructions carefully before starting this project.
INSTRUCTIONS
Things you need:
sheets of paper 8 1/2" by 11"
a printer
a pair of scissors
felt markers or crayons, assorted colors
scotch tape (optional)
glue (glue stick)
and a smile.
Step by Step Instructions:
1. Before attempting to print, make sure that you have set all the margins at zero using the print page setup option of your browser.
2. Print each page:
Page 1: Building #1
Page 2: Building #2
Page 3: Building #3
Page 4: Building #4
Page 5: Church
3. Color the exterior of each of the houses. Use your imagination. You can add Christmas decorations like a wreath on a door, Christmas lights, a Christmas tree, etc.
4. Cut out very carefully each building. Take care not to remove the tabs.
5. Fold the tabs and buildings along folding lines (lines with white dots).
6. Paste building walls together making sure that all walls are perfectly aligned.
7. Examine each building and fold its roof according to the buildings shape.
8. Carefully paste the roofs on each of the buildings. Don't forget to paste the small tags also.
9. Take a sheet of cardboard or paper and decide where on it you will place the various buildings. Then, draw a road, sidewalks, bushes, etc. on the sheet.
10. Place buildings on cardboard sheet. You can use a couple pieces of scotch tape to anchor each building in place.
11. Optional: Add some snow to give your Christmas Village a wintery feeling. Place little pieces of cotton balls on the cardboard sheet and on the rooftops, etc.
The Christmas Village is finished and all you have to do is put it in your room.
