Cut out rectangular piece of poster board or use sheet of card stock weight paper.
Cut pictures out of old Christmas cards and paste them in a collage on the sheet.
Or you can print a picture on card stock paper.
Cut two equal sized pieces of clear contact paper, each big enough to provide a 1 inch overhang edge on all sides of the place mat.
Remove backing from contact paper.
Center and seal the collage sheet between the two sheets of contact paper.
Trim edges if needed.
