MY NAME IS GUINEVERE

oceanocean

My name is Guinevere, but I go by Guin most of the time. I didn’t have a name at all until we met our gentleman. I didn’t have a name because no one knew that I existed.

I became the person that never said anything. I was entirely mute until I met our Gentleman and after two or three times of walking the dog with him, and just being in his presences, I finally found that I could talk.

Whenever someone would ask Caroline what was the matter with her, it was then that I took over. Sometime I wanted to tell someone, anyone but I was incapable by being told so many times that "Good girls don’t say anything about the things that their daddy’s do to make sure they are growing right." It robbed me of the ability to speak at all.

I still am quiet most of the time, and it takes me awhile after I am out to be able to find my voice, but there is no longer the terrible fear that if I talk, I will be punished. We were reading a book on Camelot when I talked for the first time, so my gentleman thought that would be a good name for me. I like my name it has substance and it gives me life.

I like playing games on the computer, playing with my grandson, being with my gentleman. I also love my dog Raven. She is the best animal in the world. I could always be with her and she never thought it was strange that I was silent. I like to do needlework but don’t have much time for it lately.

I like fresh plums and peaches, sitting in the sun on a cool day and just about anything to eat. I don’t like anchovies or pushy people. I put them both in the same category..... really gross.

I don’t know my age....as it seems I have been here forever. I love our gentleman.

My name is Guinevere, and I am real, and I have a right to exist.
