Good day to you! My name is Jenni. I am 22 years old and I am protection or at least an
attempt at protection from Caroline’s ex husband. She was 22 when he first hit her and that was
when I was born.
I took the beatings and gave back some of my own. I am power and yet I am human. I tried to
keep Caroline from getting hurt. I joined with the I ladies because I didn’t really fit on Caroline’s
side. Caroline would have taken any beaten and never said a word about it because that is her
nature and the way she was raised.
I, however, was the one who really took the beatings and I learned to beat back. Finally when I
had hurt him enough, he stopped most of the beatings because he was afraid of me.
I learned through our gentleman that men can be kind. That there are some good men in the
world who love and care about a woman, who don’t use her for a punching bag.
I like long rides in the mountains on sunny days. I love watching the rafters coming down the
Arkansas. It looks like so much fun but I would not expose the body to it now. I love to walk
our dog and take her every where with us. She is my baby. I was the one who got up most of the
time and fed her and loved her. I also named her Raven.
I love the summer time when the birds are all out and when the flowers are blooming. I don’t
care for the Spring time because that is when the lilacs are in bloom and they make me sneeze.
I love working outside or just sitting in the sun and enjoying the way that it makes me feel. I
always get sunburn because I forget to put on sun screen. Like duh that is so hard to
remember.
I love all kinds of food. I am not real crazy about fish, or golden brown chicken but I like
everything else. A good oven roast or a steak done rare is fine with me anytime.
I am not much into sweets but when I want some I want some now. I don’t care too much for ice
cream but I do like cakes and cobblers and things.
I am real, I have things I like and things I don’t like. I am by far the strongest one of all the
ladies. Even Serena and Nanci are not as strong as me. I had to be strong for the two little girls
that meant so much to us and to keep the body going when it didn’t feel like it.
I am a person. I love our gentleman, I love Raven and I love the girls. I feel things, pain,
happiness, unhappiness, all the feelings that all have. I am a living human being. I exist and I
have the right to exist.
