Loneliness

Loneliness, Is this the condition of a mind asking for love?
Or could it be the heart begging for a life long companion
Such a sad ordeal to have laughter replaced by tears from within
Can you feel it? Can you hear it?
Have you held those dreams? Long ago for some I fear

Now time is endured with lonely walks at night
A distant song still sounds in the ear
And voices are heard of those who are no more

Spirits move through this land as truly as their lost footsteps
And with their passing comes the end of a era
Love heals, Love can save
Shall help arrive? Should I wait for you?
Look toward the distant hill, I will smile upon your arrival.
