9-8-98: Dixie dropped its first football contest of the year to Tyler, Tx. 35-14. Quarterback Quinn Hampton was 12 of 27 for 185 yards and 1 int. Ethan Ross caught 5 of those passes for 116 yards. George Gordon lead the rushing attack with 21 yards on ten carries. Defensively, Danny Robinson had 7 tackles and Charles Rhoden had 6 tackles and 3 sacks.

9-14-98: The Dixie Rebel Football Team rebounds to knock off Eastern Arizona College 24-17 in their first WSFL game. Eric Lockhart led the Rebels with 193 yards on 33 carries and scored 2 touchdowns. Josh Vranes led the defensive effort with 10 tackles. The Rebel recorded four sacks and held the Gila Monsters to 255 yards in total offense. The Rebels play host to the Utah All-Stars this week.

9-22-98: Dixie College blister the Utah Football League All-Stars 41-6. Eric Lockhart continued tolook impressive as he racked up 187 yards on 27 carries and 4 touchdowns. The Rebels picked off the UFL quarterback 3 times and recovered two fumbles. The Rebels take on the #1 ranked Vikings of Ricks College in Dixie's first conference contest at home.

9-28-98: The #1 ranked Ricks Vikings knocked off the Rebels at St. George 28-14. Eric Lockhart scored two touchdowns increasing his league lead to 8. Charles Rhoden led the defense with 8 tackles and .5 sacks.

10-5-98: The Dixie College football team dropped a close battle to the Scottsdale Artichokes 23-20. Dixie will try to rebound next week as they travel to Phoenix Community College.

10-12-98: The Dixie Rebels doubled up the Phoenix College Bears 44-22 to even out their record at 3-3.Tony Neilsen the rushing attack with 190 yards and Chris Brinagh went over 100 yards receiving (3 catches for 104 yards).

10-21-98: Dixie defeated the Broncos of the New Mexico Military Institute over the weekend 41-20. Despite being out gained 300 to 392 in total offense, the Rebels turned big plays into points. Tony Neilsen gained 104 yards and had 3 touchdowns to lead the Dixie attack.

10-28-98: Mesa Community College knocked off the Dixie Rebels in the closing seconds 21-14. Carter Miller went 18/38 for 227 yards and Tony Nielsen rushed for 116 yards. The loss drops the Rebels to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the conference with three games remaining.

11-2-98: Dixie scored 26 points in the fourth quarter to down the Glendale Gauchos, 50-27. Quinn Hampton threw for 278 yards and 4 touchdowns while Cody Weight led the defense with 15 tackles and one interception.

11-9-98: Dixie came from 10 down late in the third quarter to eventually beat Snow College 46-45. Quinn Hampton threw for a season high 354 yards and Kenny Smith came off the injured list to record 9 tackles on the defensive side. The win improves the Rebels' record to 6-4 with one remaining.

11-6-98: The Dixie Rebels finished off the regular season with an impressive win over Arizona Western, 44-21. Quinn Hampton threw 4 touchdowns, three of them to Aaron Ware and James Wells returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown. The Rebels finish the regular season with a 7-5 mark.
