Why are these women looking to marry American men?

First of all, American men have a good reputation throughout the world for treating their wives well, and are considered very desirable. Many of these women feel there is a better life available and want a better future with a loving husband who will respect and love her. Also, according to many Filipina women, there are not enough eligible men in their own country to go around.

Will she leave me as soon as she gets to the States?

Absolutely not! This is a very common and wrong falsehood and also very unfair. The I.N.S. requires that Filipina wives and their American husbands provide evidence of a continuing marriage two years after they are married . If this evidence is not given, the woman can be deported immediately. Being in a country with no family support or help , These women would not want to stay here. Family is everything to her, so without a husband she would not want to stay.

Do American-Filipina marriages succeed?

According to a national survey, there was little or no evidence of divorce. Even less optimistic surveys found a divorce rate well under 10%. This quite a contrast to the 50% American marriages.

Are these women looking for a luxurious lifestyle or a man with high income?

A big NO! What they are looking for is a man of good character and who is responsible. Even a modest lifestyle here is viewed as a high lifestyle in the Philippines. The amount of income you have is not an important issue to them. You must understand this!

Are my age and looks important to these women?

The age range of the men is anywhere from their early 20's to their late 50's and up. Men marrying 20 years younger is very common. They are not concerned about your age and looks. What they want is a husband who has a good heart and one that will be faithful. Believe us when we say this.

As we just stated, these are fine, decent women. We screen these women carefully. They are educated, polite and intelligent. Many of these women are professionals, some even have their own business. We try to have a large cross-section of women from country girls to bankers.
