During Jeremy's week long stay in the hospital he had many visitors. Lily's parents, Andrew and Connie, stayed by his side constantly after their arrival, as did Jeremy's two beloved uncles, Steven and Jason.
Lily was in the waiting room, talking to Hannah when Steven and Jason sought her out. "Lil, can we speak to you for a minute?" Jason asked her after they greeted Hannah. Lily nodded and followed her brothers to the other side of the waiting room where they each sat down in chairs on either side of her.
Steven took her hand in his and said "How are you, Lily?"
Lily looked at him and said "I'm fine, now, Steve. Now that I know Jeremy's going to be ok. I'm fine."
Lily watched as Steven and Jason looked at each other over her head. "What we really want to know is," Jason started "how are you doing, with him." he asked and cocked his head to the side in Kevin's direction.
Lily looked across the room to Kevin who was leaning against a wall talking to AJ. Kevin felt her eyes on him and turned towards her, their eyes meeting. Lily stared into his beautiful eyes for a moment, feeling as if she could get lost in them. Turning back to her brothers, she said. "We're doing just fine."
"Are you sure, Lily? Is he treating you ok? Are you happy?"
Lily almost smiled at her brother's concerns but instead said "I'm very sure, Steve. Did Daddy put ya'll up to this?" she asked and watched as the two of them squirmed and avoided eye contact. She laughed before saying "You have nothing to be worried about. Kevin is a wonderful person. He loves Jeremy and he is good to me." She looked at them and they seemed almost convinced. She grabbed their hands and said "Come on. You can meet him and see for yourself."
Kevin stood listening to AJ as he saw Lily approach. Even through the trauma of the last few days, she still looked beautiful. He felt his heart swell as she looked at him with those beautiful blue eyes of hers and smiled slightly at him as she approached with her two brothers. He ignored AJ's attempts to draw him back into the conversation they were having, his attention was fully on his wife.
"Kev, I want you to meet my brothers. This is Steven and this is Jason." Kevin finally tore his eyes from Lily as she introduced him to her brothers. Kevin shook their hands and looked into their eyes, seeing the warning in both pair of blue eyes. Steven and Jason both seemed to be saying the same thing without saying a word. Hurt our sister and we'll kill you
Amused, Kevin acknowledged their warning and nodded, telling them with his own eyes If she's ever hurt, you're welcomed to try.
After the introductions to Kevin, Lily introduced her faminly to the rest of the Backstreet Boys and their girlfriends before they all went back into the room with Jeremy.

Lily woke up slowly and opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was Kevin's sleeping form lying close beside her. Looking at him, she realized how much things had changed. When she first met him she thought he was an uncaring, insensitive brute. But now, after seeing him with their son and seeing how tender and gentle he was with her at times she knew that her first impression of him was completly wrong. She now knew him to be a honest, loving and caring man. And completly and totally devoted to Jeremy. She also liked to think that he might be devoted to her to.
She sighed as she realized that more than anything in the world, she wanted this man to love her. She didn't know when exactly it was that she fell in love with him, it have been that first moment that Kevin saw Jeremy and Lily saw the look on his face. Or it could have been even before that when she saw how incredibly happy he was when Brian presented him with the room with the grand piano in it.
Whenever it was that she fell in love with him, she didn't know, but she did. Bringing her attention back to his face, she saw that Kevin was now awake and watching her. Once again she was blown away by the pure beauty of those silver-green eyes of his.
"Kevin." she said quietly "I lo-"
"Wake up!!"
Kevin and Lily both turned toward the door where the other four Backstreet Boys now stood and three of them, AJ, Brian and Nick, were now vaulting themselves on to the bed.
Kevin quickly and expertly rolled on top of her to protect her from the three flying bodies coming towards them.
"Rise and shine, you two." Nick said as he bounced on the bed.
"What are you guys doing here?" Kevin asked.
"Well, see our plan was this" Brian began "We wanted to spend the day with you guys but we didn't count on you two still being in bed so you have to hurry to get ready cause we still have to go get Leigh."
Kevin just looked at them and nodded slowly as he waited for the four of them to leave the room.
AJ laughed as he realized his predicament, they were both completly undressed under the covers. "I think Kevvy's got something he doesn't us to see under these covers." he said as he reached for a corner of the blanket to pull it up. One steele hand with and iron grip on his wrist stopped him before he could lift the blanket very far.
"Aww, Kevin's just shy." Nick laughed.
"I'm not shy." Kevin said "I'm just thinking to preserve my wife's modesty." Then he leaned down and whispered in Lily's ear "Or maybe I do have something I don't want them to see." as he slyly ran a hand down her side to her hip.
Lily had been saying nothing throughout the entire exchange because Kevin had been descreetly touching and caressing her the entire time.
"Come on guys, can't you see when you're not wanted someplace?" Howie said from the door. "Let's go and let them get dressed." AJ, Brian and Nick laughed to themselves as they left the room.
As soon as they were out of the room, Kevin rolled over with Lily on top of him and grinned up at her. "I think they can wait just a little while don't you?"
Lily smiled as she said "Right now I wouldn't care if they were there when we got out or not."
The guys were all playing with Jeremy when the two of them finally emerged from the bedroom. Kevin and Lily ignored the smirks as they walked through the room and Lily got Jeremy ready to go.
The group was then finally ready to go and they headed off in the direction of Leighanne's house.
As the group spent the day together, shopping and touring the city of Atlanta. On the way home, Kevin announced to the guys that he was taking a few days off to take Lily and Jeremy to Kentucky to meet his family. Brian thought it was a good idea and decided to make a trip to Kentucky himself. After they got home, Lily laid a sleeping Jeremy on his bed for a nap and began to prepare for her trip to meet Kevin's family.
