The show started kind of late, between 10:30 and 11:00, I really don't remember the time, I think it was the drink special.....anyways, there were two different bands playing last night, The first band was The Susan Smith Society....and The other band was Phallic Rescue...No Laughing Matter wasn't ready to play out...so they didn't make an appearance:(<---(God these internet symbols are annoying)
Ok, The first band....The Susan Smith Society, These guys were all about the fun...They had no lead singer so right before they went on, they asked one of our friends to sing for them, No lyrics, No set songs...No talent...actually the band had talent, they played a more old school style punk circa Black Flag, CIrcle Jerks. the old L.A. style......They rocked the house ya'll....anyways, since there was no actual lead singer, Mack (the singer for the evening) traded off with.....The one and only....DOLLAR BILL!!!!, Man Dollar ripped up the mic last night, He even knew when to come in on the songs....It was a great performance.......My friends even bought Dollar some shots later on that night for putting on a great stage show....
Next was Phallic Rescue......Now I cant compare them to any other band, Probably because They don't sound like any other band, but if I had to compare them to any band that I have heard, I would have to compare them to Christ on a Crutch, but with a unique vocal style,... I really cant describe the vocals.....but, these guys rocked....They made the show....I felt like it was 1995 all over again:)<----There it is again....anyways, Phallic Rescue played some great Hardcore/Punk, that just makes you want to dance. Very melodic and fast, I think the best part of the show was when Paul (the vocalist) brought out the dildo, and was slapping people with it when they got too close to the stage.....I myself was too busy recording most of the show, I'm so cool....but I annoyingly regret not getting the G.G. cover song on tape, I was pissing, I did see half of the song, and Ron "Cpt.Hardcore" Copley did a damn fine job, so after Phallic Rescue was finished playing, There was a surprise for the crowd,(mostly myself and Fatso Castro, we're elite hahaha), Jim got on the mic and let it be known that the original drummer for the band Right Up Front was in da haugh!!!!! so as you can see, There was an unexpected Right Up Front reunion, which by the way was the very last time any of those songs would be performed live, Right Up Front will never play live again.......They even played the ECW song, It was an instrumental but it was still a great song, They played about 5 maybe 6 songs, I really cant remember too much by this point, so that was about it, all in all this show was the best I have been to in a long time, I cant wait till thursday's Hardcore show!!!!!! I think Castro will be reviewing that one.........well see ya..
