nadu or pagar nadu

"He spoke, "pagar nadu." Nadu meaning simply kneeling, pagar meaning pleasure."

This is the most basic of all positions. This is the position a slave is in most of the time. The slave kneels before Master/Mistress with the head held high and the eyes downcast. The slave parts knees wide, shoulders back keeping the back straight, breasts/chest thrust outward. The hands rest on thighs, with the palms resting flat on the thighs.

Reason: submission.

tower or tower nadu

There is another variation of 'pagar nadu' in which the slave kneels in the same way but with knees modestly together. This variation is referred to as 'tower slave position' and is typically reserved for 'white silk' slavegirls, or kajirae who serve their Master in a non-sexual way, such as a Tower Slave or female Work Slave.

When kajirae serve a Mistress, they often serve in 'tower', kajiri serving a Master always serve in 'tower'.

Reason: non-sexual serving.

bara

The slave lays on the stomach, face down, turned to the left, and with the cheek and breasts/chest pressed to the floor. The wrists are crossed wrists behind the back, the ankles are crossed as well, the legs held straight. The slave lays motionless.

Reason: display, transportation, punishment.

belly

The slave falls to the floor with the face down. The forehead rests flat on the surface, the arms at the sides. With the legs widely spread, the slave crawls to the Master/Mistress on the belly, the knees never touching the floor.

Reason: submission.

bracelets

The slave places the hands behind the back, pushes the shoulders back and thrusts breasts/chest outward, the hands clasped tightly with the wrists touching behind the back.

The position can be ordered as 'low', kneeling, or 'high', standing, as in 'lesha'.

Reason: securing with bracelets or manacles, hooding, gagging.

capture position

The slave lays down upon back, bending knees to place feet flat against the ground, hands at side and remains motionless.

Reason: relenting to capture.

coin

In this position, the slave is given a coin. A coin slave, sent to the streets to earn coins for Master through sexual service, will wear a small leather bag on a tether around her neck. As a slave is not allowed to touch money with the fingers, she/he either lifts the head and offers the box, or, when not having a box, she/he holds out the tongue to accept the coin.

Reason: to receive coins.

crawl

The slave gets down on all fours, palms to elbows flat on floor. With the hips in the air, and the forehead close to but not touching the floor, the slave crawls to just an inch from Master's/Mistress' feet.

Reason: begging, total submission.


display

The slave stands with her/his feet slightly farther than shoulder width apart, lacing fingers together behind her/his neck.

Reason: to be shown.

gorean bow

The slave kneels in the 'nadu' position and bends her/his body backwards. With the head to the floor and hands by the head, the slave pulls up herself/ himself into a back bend.
(This position is very painful to maintain for longer than 5 min.)

Reason: display, alternative table.

heel

The slave goes to Master/Mistress and kneels behind His/Her left foot.
(note: if Master/Mistress is right handed go to His/Her left heel, if left handed go to His/Her right.)

Reason: following.

obedience position

The slave kneels on the floor, the thighs spread widely to allow her/him to lay the chest upon the floor. The slave leans forward placing breasts/chest and forehead against the floor and reaches out with arms fully extended, palms against floor. The ankles may be crossed or uncrossed.
The position is erroniously called "karta" by many uniformed. There is no such word as "karta" in the books of Norman.

Reason: utmost respect.

Requests may be made from this position.

collar

The collaring position, is also called "The Position of Female Submission." The slave kneels at Master's/Mistress' feet, sitting on the heels. The slave extends the arms upward, and crosses the wrists, the head beneath them lowered in supplication.

Reason: collaring or submission.

leading position

The slave stands and moves behind Master/Mistress. The slave bends at the waist, places the hands behind the back and puts the side of the head to the Master's/Mistress' hip.

Reason: leading by hair or ko-lar.

lesha

The slave kneels with the back to Master/Mistress, the chin lifted and the head turned to the left, offering her/his ko-lar for leashing, with the wrists are behind the back ready for bracelets or fibres.

high lesha

the slave stands, the feet parted so the knees do not touch, with the eyes lowered. This position is similar to the 'lesha' position, except the slave lowers now down from a standing position.

Reason: attaching a leash.

Master's / Mistress' kiss

Master/Mistress takes the slave's thick hair in His/Her hand, yanks the head back hard as He/She pulls the hair back, exposing the tender neck and drawing the slave's face to His. He/She kisses hard, passionately and powerfully, taking the top lip in His/Her teeth and biting on it. He/She then takes the bottom lip and sucks on it, bites down on it as He/She continues to kiss with violent passion.

obedience

The slave lays upon the stomach, face down before the Master/Mistress. The slave turns the head and places the cheek against His/Her feet, and kisses them lightly.

Reason: gesture of love and submission.

prostrate

The slave kneels and touches the forehead to the floor, stretches arms out before her/him with palms down and fingers spread.

Reason: begging for entry.

run

When this command is given, the slave runs toward the ordered objective, taking short rapid steps with the legs almost straight, and feet hardly leaving the floor. The slave's back is straight, the head is turned to the left, and the arms are at the sides, the palms facing outward at a 45 degree angle to the body. Upon reaching the objective the slave drops gracefully to the knees and typically resumes the 'nadu' position.

Reason: hurry.

she-sleen/he-sleen

The slave drops to knees and elbows, clasps the hands over the head, raises the hips, parts thighs and arches back.

Reason: punishment, not pleasure, position.

she-sleen/he-sleen quadrupled

The slave moves on hands and knees and is not allowed to use hands for anything. The slave must use the mouth and teeth. The slave is forbidden to speak and may only grunt like an animal.

Reason: punishment position.

slaver's kiss

The slave falls to the floor upon all fours, and lowers head to the ground, with the buttocks thrust upward and thighs widely spread. The slave exposes the hindquarters fully in preparation for the caress of the leather.

Reason: whipping.

stand

The slave assumes a standing position, the body held quite erect, head up and shoulders back. She has her feet slightly parted, the left foot somewhat forward of the right, with a slight flex in the knee and the feet angled out a bit. Most of weight should be on right foot with hips canted slightly, the right hip slightly higher than the left. The right hand rests palm in on the hip with the elbow flexed and held out from the body; the left arm is extended with only a very slight arch in the elbow, the left hand resting with the palm against the upper thigh.

Reason: display.

standard binding

When ordered into the standard binding position the slave lays on the ground, wrists crossed behind the back and ankles crossed.
(This is most likely another name for bara.)

Reason: binding.

submission

The slave kneels down, bends at the waist, places her cheek to the floor, takes the Master's right foot and places it upon her neck. She puts her arms behind her back and crosses them at the wrist.
(Not in the scrolls.)

Reason: total submission.

suga

The 'suga' position is very similar to 'karta' but now the wrists are crossed.

The slave kneels, knees wide apart and lays the head to the floor, with one cheek to the floor, arms stretched the over head and wrists crossed, awaiting the Master's/Mistress' permission to speak.

Reason: obedience.

sula

The slave lays flat on her back with her legs pointed to Master, her thighs spread wide and her arms resting at her sides with the palms up. Her left knee flexed slightly to enhance the view. She keeps her eyes lowered and awaits an inspection
(confirmation of 'white silk' status).

Reason: inspection or pleasure of Master.

sula-ki

This position is almost identical to the 'sula' position, except once in the 'sula' position the slave slowly lifts the body up off the floor, as if beckoning with her/his body, encouraging her/his sexual use.

Reason: encouragement of sexual use.

table

The slave goes to all fours, with arms and legs a shoulder width apart. The slave locks the elbows, back smooth and level, and holds the head level.

Reason: resting feet.

whip

The slave drops quickly to the knees, raises hips, and crosses arms over the belly. Then the slave leans forward to place the head to the floor, first sweeping the hair forward over the shoulders to one side leaving the back exposed to the whip.

Reason: punishment.
