Her father was listed as Buster Brown. She remembers that she was not adopted as an infant. Her adopted sister told me that she was actually about 3 when she was adopted after a series of unsucessful foster homes. Her name was changed to Norma Katherine Stocker, and adopted to an army major at Fort Sam Houston. I met him a few times very strict and overbearing man did not really want children his wife, my grandmother did from what I learned from my aunt she was adopted at about the age of 10 months which makes me think they were adopted about the same time. My cousin my aunts daughter, who my aunt and uncle adopted after my grandmother died and is not searching has recently I run across some paper work which she gave little info to my mother because I called and asked my uncle if he knew anything.  Apparently the paperwork lists her mother as being Norma Lou at birth her mother was Marylou.  To me it would be strange for one couple to adopt 2 girls and their b/names to me Norma lee and norma Lou unless there was some connection. Apparently both were adopted through the Texas Childrens home Finding or was it Foundling. I am not sure what Society. I have some paper work to get together to send to Amber Lidell in Bexar County to pay her to get some info for me apparently she is something called a CI for Bexar County. I have seen correspondence where both names were used; maybe it is a first and middle name? I know he was stationed in Germany over by Regensburg in 1963, and in early 1964 he was sent to Ft. Meade Baltimore MD. I have a pic of him (attached), but otherwise have no further identification. He knew my bmother was pregnant with me, but before I was born was sent to Baltimore. He does not know he has a daughter and that I was adopted and sent to the US. I have had to become a naturalized citizen because my mother (who was unwed and had already given 3 other girls up for adoption) did not list my father on my birth certificate. I have since found my bmother, met her and my 3 half-sisters. Although things are just pleasant and cordial between my mom and I, my sisters and I have become real close. They are all still in Germany. I have 3 kids and for medical reasons only do I want to know my dad. Should he wish to further a relationship, that is certainly open to discussion. I have my original adoption papers and the lawyers papers and stuff from Germany. I know I was again "adopted" in 1965 or so in Dover, NH and then became a naturalized citizen in 1969. This was a private adoption, and I know my father has no knowledge this occurred. He probably has no idea my bmother finally married, but he knows her married name was Fuckel (or at least I hope he did). I have no idea how old he was, when his birthday was, where he was from, where his family was from. My case seems so different from all that have been listed on here. I really don't know where to turn...can someone please HELP. I can't afford a PI, so have tried a few different avenues that have been free of charge. I have also pleaded to be on the talk shows for help, but to no avail. So if anyone has any ideas where I can start, it will certainly help.
