My current mood!!!
I am a born and raised West Virginia Hillbilly and the proud mother of four wonderful children. I have very stong opinions and views on certain subjects. A lot of these I can attribute to my upbringing, but most have been brought about by certain happenings in my life. I abhor domestic violence of any kind. Adults who solve their problems and have to gain control with violence are not adults, they're children. I believe anyone who is in an abusive situation should run, not walk, to the door and get out. Your abuser is not going to change in time and there is nothing you can do by changing yourself that will make them stop. The violence only worsens in time. Get out now!
I feel abortion is wrong. No matter how you look at it it is murder. A baby is a gift from God and only God has a right to take that life. There are far too many childless couples in this world that would love to have a child.
I am a strong advocate for lengthly punishments in rape and child molestation cases. People who molest children and rape women belong out of society on a permanent basis. They don't deserve a second chance to do it again.
I firmly believe that everyone should have the right to their religion, but I do not agree with prayer being removed from our public schools. I grew up in an area that is very religiously based. I firmly believe a lot of the problems that has arisen in our schools is due to the lack of God being allowed to be present. A lot of children are never taken to church and the prayers they hear at school may be the only ones they ever will. I applaud all of the schools and other public buildings that display the Ten Commandments. This country was established for religious freedom and our government is now telling us we don't have the right to exercise that right where and when we want. It's amazing, if you look at our dollar bills and coins, they are stamped, "IN GOD WE TRUST." I feel absent fathers (and mothers) should have rights and responsibilities to their children. Parents should be a constant factor in their childrens' lives. Every child needs and deserves to have a father as wonderful as the one that I had. I miss him every day as I watch my children grow.
A part of my pages will refect these views. A lot of the stories and poetry have deeply touched my heart and this is my way of sharing it with you.
I have given credit to the authors where available. If by chance one has gotten by me unmarked of who the author is, I apologize. If you know the author to any of my pages, please, let me know.
Mary Had A Little Lamb
Mary Had A Little Lamb,
His Fleece Was White As Snow.
And Everywhere That Mary Went,
The Lamb Was Sure To Go.
He Followed Her To School Each Day,
Wasn't Even In The Rule.
He Made The Children Laugh & Play.
To Have A Lamb At School.
And Then The Rules All Changed One Day,
Illegal It Became;
To Bring The Lamb Of GOD To School,
Or Even Speak His Name.
Everyday Got Worse & Worse,
And Days Turned Into Years.
Instead Of Hearing Children Laugh,
We Heard Gun Shots & Tears.
What Must We Do To Stop The Crime,
That's In Our Schools Today?
Let's Let The Lamb Come Back To School,
And Teach Our Kids To Pray!

This is for the lives lost and dreams shattered at the California school shooting on March 6, 2001. This was sent to me the morning of the shooting in California. Not long after a news bulletin came on telling of the shooting. Pray that God watches over our children everyday as they go to school.
Hi this is me, Renee'.
This is my oldest son, Freddy. He is 18-years-old and a senior in high school. Just a few weeks and I will have a high school graduate. He plans to enlist in the U.S. Navy. | This is my daughter, Deniele. She is 15-years-old and a sophomore in high school. She is the pitcher/short stop on the Girls Softball Varsity Team. |
This is my 11-year-old son, Zachary. He is in the 6th grade and a very special child. He suffers with chronic severe asthma due to numerous allergies and was born with a club foot. We have had numerous hospital stays for the asthma and surgery to correct his foot. Raising my Zak has taught me so much about illness and discrimination towards those with illnesses. | This is my baby, Dylan. He is 7-years-old and is in the first grade. This is my wild child. He loves to be on stage and loves to entertain. He never meets a stranger. Watch out world! I've been told he will be the next Elvis or the President of the USA. |
IN OUR HOME
We will not only talk, we will listen.
We will not only understand, we will communicate.
We will have a healthy set of values
and believe in them with a conviction
that can be passed on from generation to generation.
We will be expressive, not only with our love for one another
but with our forgiveness as well.
We will teach by our actions.
We will encourage and support.
We will respect one another's views as well as their privacy.
We will be there in a crisis.
We will rebuild in times of adversity,
and whe a problem arises we will settle it together.
We will have a sense of humor,
and take time to laugh and play as well as work together.
We will treat others fairly and justly, and expect the same in return.
We will seek to set an example,
not just so others will want to follow in our footsteps, but so they will know that our home is a place where love lives.

I Got Flowers Today
I got flowers today
It wasn't my birthday
or any other special day.
Last night we had a fight and he hit me,
But I know he is sorry
Cause I got flowers today
I got flowers today
It wasn't our anniversary or any other special day.
Last night he threw me against the wall and started to choke me, But I know he's sorry,
Cause I got flowers today
I got flowers today
It wasn't Mothers day or any other special day
I was so swollen and bruised
I was ashamed to answer the door
But I know he's sorry,
Cause I got flowers today
If I leave him, where will I go?
What about money? what about my kids?
It's getting worse every time
but I'm afraid to leave
But I know he's sorry
Cause I got flowers today
I got flowers today
My family and friends filed by to see me
Asking why I never left him,
If I only had the strength and courage to,
but I didn't
So I got Flowers today

This poem brought back a lot of painful memories for me. At the time I was going through my violent marriage domestic violence was a taboo subject. I had no idea of where to go to get help and what my rights were. Through the support of some very good friends I found the courage to divorce my abusive husband. I have designed ~When Love Hurts~ to help other victims and survivors of domestic violence. My site includes information on where to get help and what to due if you are being abused. It also includes statistics and descriptive patterns of behavior characteristics of an abuser. If you or someone you love is being abused, please, go to my site to find out where to get help and what your options are. We don't want any flowers today.
