JANUARY 2003

The Westview Open Tournament, was launched this month.

The scheduled date for the tournament is Monday 10th February to Friday 14th February. There will be 4 sections, namely A, B, C & D. There will be an entry fee of R35 which will give each entrant an hour of squash each night, lights, great prizes and a disco and cheese and wine on the final night.

There will be a limited number of 8 teams per section. The teams consist of two players.
A Section = Combined league strength must be 4 or less
B Section = League strength must be at least 5, but less than 11
C Section = League strength must be at least 11, but less than 21
D Section = League strength must be 21 or more

1st league players may only play in the A Section
2nd and 3rd league players may only play in the A or B sections
4th to 9th league players may only play in the B or C sections
10th to 13th league players may only play in the C or D sections

Each team will play a doubles match followed by two singles matches.

Closing dates for entries is the 3rd February.

The monthly draw will take place on Friday 31st January from 5.00 - 7.00pm at the squash bar.
