JULY 2002

The National Under 19 School's Tournament was hosted in Port Elizabeth from Saturday 29th June until Wednesday 3rd July. The Boy's and Girl's "B" section matches were played at the Westview Squash Club and the event was a resounding success.

The R1000 draw was launched on Thursday 18th July with 100 tickets available. The tickets are R30 each and allow for entry into the Cheese and Wine and the Draw on Friday 23rd August at 7.30pm.

There will be 3 main prizes: 1st = R700, 2nd = R200, 3rd = R100. There will also be 10 Consolation prizes.

The captains of each of the Westview winter league teams have 5 tickets to sell, so please will the members of the teams approach their captains to buy a ticket.

The draw is attendance only, however if you are not able to attend you will be allowed to give your ticket to someone attending the draw in order for you to stand a chance of winning.

The winter league results after the first half were very pleasing, and the placings were as follows:

An incentive was put to the winter league players for the most improved team. The team that improves the most in the 2nd half will be awarded with a winter league squash meal and a beer for the whole team at "The Anchor".
