The DUNLOP Youth Tournament hosted and organized by Westview Squash club took
place on Saturday 10th May.
With 97 entries this the 2nd Youth Tournament to be
held, saw some great squash from these up and coming youngsters. Aimed at NON
provincial players ,to encourage participation and fun , the Youth Tournament is
doing a great deal to encourage and introduce many beginners to tournament play
as well as the Westview Club and is fast earning itself a fine
reputation.
10 Development players, identified by Angela Difford and sponsored by DUNLOP, participated and showed a great deal of promise.
Each child who entered received a DUNLOP t shirt as well as, squash grips, Cadbury's chocolates and other items. Winners received super DUNLOP kit bags.
All winners and runners up also received engraved medals.
Many, many
thanks to Glenn Whittaker and DUNLOP for sponsoring the tournament this year as
well as all those members and friends who helped out on the day. As always the
committee put in hours of work but to all those non committee members who helped
with entries, marking and sponsorship, thanks a million, we couldn't have run
it without you.
