About Us: |
||
We are a small, just starting out, paint horse ranch. Located in Big Piney, Wyoming (click here to see pictures of the area!) Our goal: to raise horses that perform as well as they look, with good pedigrees, lots of color, and above all, excellent dispositions. This goal makes us very picky, which in turn, makes us slow to grow. But I believe that doing it right the first time is worth it. The mares we have now are getting us to a good start (please see Our Horses). Pictured above is Glo Chex Annie. She is just 2 years old, and our 2 year old son rides her. Those are the kind of dispositions we demand. We believe disposition is a trait that is as much in the genes as it is in the handling and training. We believe a horse that naturally loves people is easier to train, and a pleasure to work with. We believe that these traits make our stock priceless even without show records. We think you will agree. We are just learning about the show world (sometimes it feels like the blind leading the blind!) We are concentrating on reining and barrel racing at the moment, but anticipate getting into cutting as well. But we are not newcomers to the horse world. We come from ranching families, and horses have always been a big part of our lives. Also, Coming from ranch families, we have never seen the use for horses that look pretty, but can't perform... so expect our breeding program and horses to reflect that mind set. We are currently looking for a YOUNG stallion prospect (no older than a weanling) QH or APHA that meets our strict criteria. Hollywood Dun it, Smart little lena, and/or strong foundation bloodlines required. Please email us if you know of a reasonably priced colt. |
